Reason i got GT vio. "You shot without asking for a claim which IS hipfiring and you gave him 5 seconds to possibly CC journalist which is not enough time regardless of your intent to win you cannot just shoot that way"
Day1 start was 6:09 where there were 3 cop claims. I claimed cop to get reads into either cop. I wanted journalist to claim so that i would reveal myself as sheriff. time stamps of me asking for journalist 7:06 7:23 7:46
AT 8:18 i saw dalv claim journalist. there was no cc until after 1 minute later. (mafia can claim late to look town) At 8:29 i responded to the journalist claim and 8:35 dalv calls me mafia since he was "on me" and he didnt see any report. (im sheriff duh) makes him look more authentic as journalist. still no journ cc. I shot at 9:26. i was shooting in blues for lawyer. the reason i shot drkephki was because he was hard coasting and not contributing to anything.
Now lets look at Glock's point of view. There's a cop who guilties journalist. why did he not claim then and say that COP was fake? He was trolling when i claim guilty on him 6:48 "i am townfia". 8:18 was when dalv claimed journ, glock spoke at 8:22. he only claimed journalist after my shot which was after 1:10 seconds after mafia first claimed journalist. He responded poorly to my GUILTY claim on him. I put 2+2 together and saw him as mafia claiming journalist. He accuses me of gamethrowing for someone when i played optimally.

I shot without asking for a claim. At the time i shot i saw 2 cop claims and a journalism claim. I don't need to ask a villager to claim if all the roles were out.

As i written earlier. there was a journalist claim at 8:18. Nobody cc'd until 9:28. I reacted to that journalist claim to see if anyone cc. even calling that journalist fake

You cannot just shoot that way.
I shot for lawyer, I honestly believe shooting in blues is best action for this game.
As such i would like this to be overriden to a no violation.

Ok, I'm self OTing this to a note for Trolling. Problem, from the beginning I did not think you had intent to lose, however I was told multiple times that it's GT if its golden hearts, not trolling. I even understand why you felt this way about the person who ISP'd but being quiet can be due to a number of things, whether it's being busy IRL, tabbed out, internet lag or just inexperience altogether. Being quiet can also be a PR tell. So keep in mind next time that 60 seconds isn't enough to shoot someone, and please ask for a claim instead of just assuming you know someone is blue. You might have shot him and he'd have been journalist without the ability to cc. The precedent for hipfiring in comp is still being discussed - if it's officially established there will be an update posted somewhere, I'm sure.

HEY! Checkmate! https://epicmafia.com/report/193973 Look at that report. Ripple got a no vio for shooting the doctor without a claim and that was more of a Hipfire than what problem did. GT requires intent and it's quite clear that problem was trying to play to his win condition here. It wasn't even bad play lol. He shot for lawyer and drkephi was scummy as hell. "Wait what" is a scum line. Like usually you can say "it wasn't GT it was bad play." But in this case it was just normal and fine play lol

He got plenty of reads and even explained them, all the roles were out and the shot target was shot based on a read. Why was this given a vio?

its not considered hipfiring if i shoot after getting reads. we had 3 minutes of conversation and i shot the scummiest. If i had shot without a journ claim, then it could be considered hipfiring. In the first report you said 5 seconds is not enough, now 1 minute is still not enough? at start of day if a cop claims 10 seconds after someone else claiming cop, the second to claim cop usually gets lynched 80% of the time (random number generator) majority of the time.

Also its not hipfiring if all the roles are accounted for. the only unclaimed role was mafia or blue

the report is being discussed. the precedent is hipfiring in golden hearts is GT, in red hearts its trolling. golden hearts are taken seriously

i really dont want to make another fking dumb complaint thread about hipfiring if this isn't OTed so please just OT it.

not only is it not hipfiring because he DOESNT have to ask for a claim, there were already claims of cops/journ with a janned role

So in about a minute after the first journalist claim and no cc, you shot someone without asking for a claim? Drkephi didnt have a chance to cc after that - he said "wait what lol" like, he hardly spoke, he could have literally been any role considering how little he was participating and contributing. I don't blame you for fosing him, but he also had no chance directly of saying what role he was and this is golden heart therefore its unfair to him

TL;DR

i did not need to ask for claims because there were cop and journ claims. i waited 1 minute not the 5 seconds. The reason for GT i got was disproved.
