Eh, I think you are misunderstanding the meaning of the quote if you don't think it makes sense. Here's an example of it being used for "meta" in an example: In a game of mafia in 163 on 3-way lylo with nilla mafia being last alive. "Player A" has a "No visit" report on him/her and is very protown and has been correct with lynches and argues that disguiser would be the NK, "Player B" though scummy states that he/she never sacrifices to kill tracker because he/she finds that ridiculously dumb (you know for a fact that he/she holds truth to it). Conclusion? Although Player A has a "No visit" report on him/her and is very unlikely mafia, you know for a fact that Player B has a distinct play style and would not sacrifice to kill tracker. Therefore, this leaves Player A as mafia.
