Newbtricks I need to stop falling for

• Lying about mechanics in LyLo: No no no, softing someone actually means the cop got an inno result on them, not a guilty! I'm confirmed! (Some genius person whose user I can't remember)
• Threats: You know... taking so long to vote the obvious maf is making you look more and more guilty by the second. Maybe I was wrong and it is actually you? (Apostasy)
• Reassurance: It's okay, you're new to the game so whatever you pick, nobody will be mad...(Dashing)
• Playing the (reverse) newbie card: Yes, but mafia made a bad decision. The obvious best play was to do X. This proves that the mafia must be the newbie. (Rae. Really need to find a refutation to this logic)
• Trust: I'm the most experienced player here, you can trust me not to lie to you. Don't worry, I'm not maf, I'm helping you. (Most of the above xD)

Newbtells I need to stop doing

• Lurking as maf: Literally seems to be the quickest route to the rope.
• Lurking as town: See above. :|
• Playing the newb card: Newb scum lurk. Saying I'm newb after lurking seems to be as good as a confession and just does not work. Saying I'm newb at any point after Pregame just seems like giving the mafia players free reign to use any of the above tricks. Claiming maf seems better than claiming noob.
• No opinions: Stupid or wrong opinions are better than no opinions when both town and maf. Related to lurking.
• Fillering: I seem to have advanced from lurking to fillering. Same result, slightly more satisfying gameplay. Thanks to mattcryo for pointing it out.
