hey, the game logged out on me, so i didnt get to finish what i was typing. It all kinda depends on what you've been exposed to, sometimes gradual exposure to different types of music can alter your appreciation of it.

I used to like a lot of fastish punk when i was young. A lot of it was very loud and noisy. I think that might have helped me like the VU more. But it all depends. It just might not be your thing. Sometimes its good to come back to certain things at a later time as well.

I want to do my best to say this in a not-so-douchy elitist way. When you first learn to read as a kid, you don't start reading James Joyce or Shakespeare. You kinda work your way up to it. There is music that strives to be great while being more accessible to the ears from Pop to Beethoven. Other stuff intentionally tries to be more challenging, which can be more demanding.
