Hey everyone, I am officially announcing EpicMafia Live Season 1 and accepting applications. It will be a livestreamed mafia tournament with commentary.
Format
There will be four games played in a row of the same setup. The games will feature the same players and will be hosted in an unranked room with a password. I will be spectating the games and livestreaming them on Twitch while adding color commentary.
After each game, there will be a brief period where the players, the audience, and myself can cast votes for who played the best that game. Those will be tallied up and scored, and then the next game will be played after updating the leaderboard.
The scoring system is as follows:
- 3 points for a win
- 3 points for being voted best player in a game
- 2 points for being voted 2nd best
- 1 point for being voted 3rd best
- 1 point for being killed night one
Once all four games are played, whoever has the most points is crowned champion. There is no recognition for runners up. If there is a tie, we will have a final vote among the players, audience, and myself to break it.
Applying
I am taking applications for people who would like to either participate, moderate, or even co-commentate (be the Jim Nantz to my Tony Romo :D). All you have to do is post in this thread stating which of those (or multiple) you are interested in. Once we have a group of players (and alternates in case of no show), we can find a time and date that works for everyone. The setup is not officially decided but I am thinking either CBA, Jan 2.0, or DDP.
It is of the utmost importance that players in game are trusted not to view the stream, so there will be an extra moderator to look for signs of potential cheating, but I will mainly be relying on trust of the players whom are chosen to participate.
