Hey everyone!

It's a me, a PainFoinmr! You might remember me from games like O2R, Gallis Hunter and for the folks reaching their late twenties - Minesweeper.

I'm here to talk about Oracle role. It's a great role, added almost 11 years ago. What I love about it, is that it's super towny. It doesn't visit, so watcher and tracker can be 100% sure that this player is not mafia upon claiming oracle. And what's even better - in ML situations and oracle ccs, town gains upon lynching the real oracle since they reveal a role.

However there is an option for oracle to choose no one or to choose themselves to reveal. Remember, that this is only a choice and not an actual visit, so when choosing granny or something, it doesnt do anything bad. So you ask, But Pain, why would anyone choose to orc themselves or no one? That's silly!

Nonsense my friends! It's optimal! When you choose to orc self you can in fact prevent janitor's ability. Thought they will jan someone? HA! Jokes on them cause you reveal yourself on death. That will show them! Or choosing no one - who wouldn't like to be assigned a power role and not use it, to roleplay as a blue?

And the next thing you are going to say is ''But Pain, isn't that ILLEGAL? We will get banned using these sick tricks''

NONSENSE!! It is officially okay and approved my moderators, that if you say ''oh I thought mafia will not kill me'' you can no orc, orc self or even veg!

Self Orcing in comp is one of the most viable strats in the game, some noobs don't even know Oracle is janned!

To be fair , self orcing means you won't accidentally reveal a PR . And it prevents unnecessary information from being given to the maf. Sometimes it is best if PRs out or get outed on their own terms.

i mean, he is right that the mafia is throwing there by hitting into autoloss. the only correct kill for mafia there was the sheriff

but its such backwards thinking to counterthrow the mafias throw. if the mafia throws, then report it
