How many genders are there? (if they even exist). How many sexes are there? Are liberals living their crazy world or are the conservatives living in a different century refusing to accept facts as the liberals claim?
Why are there people still going out to get surgeries and hormones if gender is a social construct and all they need to do is identify? (They are two different types of people)
And I know for sure that I will get some backlash for the above statement, but if me not considering your identified gender to be real is supposedly "DEHUMANIZING" you, then you need to grow a backbone. I am not calling death to anyone or calling them subhuman, I just don't agree with them on the premises of identifying as nonbinary.
I think they have a valid argument that you're not getting. There are people with real gender dysphoria that want to go through surgeries to change their gender (notice how there is only one possible change they can make, indicative of only two genders), and that is something I don't exactly applaud, but I respect it. That is transgenderism.
Nowadays, there are people who just don't want to follow the rules (or gender norms as they might not exactly feel particularly masculine or feminine), and they claim to be another gender so they can demand respect, force confusion, play the victim, etc. They claim to be a different gender without any rhyme or reason other than "not feeling like a male or female" despite being one regardless. That is transtrenderism.
Notice how one is biological, and the other is anecdotal. I am pretty sure biology is a science that can back up explanations better than just "feeling non male/female"
Gender is a state of identification by which a person is either masculine, feminine, or somewhere in between. The masculinity extreme is typically the gender for males, and the femininity extreme is typicall the gender for females, however a male can identify themself through feminine means, or vice versa. Individuals can also identify themself somewhere in the middle between the two extremes, and as a result of this people have begun to give rise to different "identities" by which they believe their gender falls on between the spectrum of the two extremes.
So when it comes down to it, gender is two ends on a spetrum of being masculine (male) or feminine (female), however you can identify yourself anywhere along the spectrum in relation to your sex, and if you wish to give a name for this gender by which you find your identity located, then go for it. However, when it comes down to it, the two extremes mentioned before are the ones which dictate gender, and as a result are the ones which an overwhelmingly large majority of society identify by.
This is my own opinion as well. I also find it very odd that some people are trying to claim that ones gender is not connected at all to ones sex, even tho 99% identify with one side of the spectrum. (Including trans, as most trans persons feel like they have the wrong gender and tend to want to change it, not be somewhere in between). So all these labels are for a minority of a minority group to begin with, which is why I find it odd that so many feel the need to include every single one and force people to remember them. In Sweden we got a word for male (han), female(hon) and neither (hen), which is sufficient IMO.
microlabels and all of these fake labels that are honestly nonsensical can seriously negatively impact the trans community and it already has. same thing goes with microlabels in terms of sexualities. the lgbt community is already considered by outsiders to be more or less a joke without cis/het people taking on goofy and nonsensical microlabels to give everyone else even more of a reason to make fun of us.
yeah that's really transphobic and sounds like more of this bullshet gender policing. if you want to turn the trans community against its own members, maybe you belong elsewhere???
lmao
1. Who gave you the right to speak for the whole group? 2. Why do you seem to imply that its a homogeneous group to begin with?
anyway as a proud wlw your people are uhh my people so have fun trying to excommunicate from a community i belong in ?? and i don't quite understand the logic behind telling me i'm gender policing and then literally.. policing me because i don't share the same ideals as you ???

i’m not transphobic in the slightest but if that's what u wanna think about me go ahead. but the fact is that there’s a lot of misinformation out there that’s negatively impacting lgbt lives.
the issue is that for a long time otherwise cis people have been coining “genders” to fit themselves into a community that they don’t belong in... and i don’t mean things like gender fluid or nonbinary or agender i’m talking about labels that have actually nothing to do with gender that people are interjecting into the community. for actual trans people who are using microlabels... i mean i get it, but ultimately a lot of terms are indeed umbrella terms and a lot of microlabels end up being somewhat unnecessary. when i say “microlabels” i’m not talking about legitimate trans people who for example might identify as nonbinary and maybe want to use a specific label to identify what gender they might lean more towards, because honestly that’s totally cool and it can also help unknowing cis people understand too that gender is a really unique thing that operates in a more complicated way than previously thought. when i say microlabels i’m talking about people who refer to themselves as terms that have almost next to nothing to do with gender aside from the fact that the word gender is typically apart of the term (i’m not going to name any because i’m not keen on calling out folks jic there might be someone lurking here who does use such a term to refer to themselves).
in any case, i’m not even insinuating in the slightest that these people should be harassed because honeslty the majority of the people that i find using microlabels are kiddos and i’d much rather see these kids be led in a better direction because it’s a lot better for everyone involved that way.
implying that trans people are supposed to pander to what keeps daddy transphobe happy, to the extent of excluding trans people who don't bend over far enough for society's mushroom head, is spineless and imbecilic. please reconsider your affiliation with my people

what i think u 2-gender folks are getting upset about is over-labeling which is a thing maybe but at the end of the day, it makes some eggs on tumblr happy so why do u care? just let snowflakes be snowflakes if they wanna drift around in the wind for awhile, it doesn't hurt u.
i'm late but over-labeling does actually negatively affect people so i really don't know what ur getting at here. microlabels and all of these fake labels that are honestly nonsensical can seriously negatively impact the trans community and it already has. same thing goes with microlabels in terms of sexualities. the lgbt community is already considered by outsiders to be more or less a joke without cis/het people taking on goofy and nonsensical microlabels to give everyone else even more of a reason to make fun of us.
now if u excuse me i'm going to go punish myself for posting in a thread i promised myself i wouldn't, sayonara
no offense but like....how do u guys see absolutely nothing wrong with attacking and invalidating ppl who are doing literally nothing that affects u. mind ur own damm business #DownWithCis
