Social regression is very similar to the story of how birth rates in the upper class are going down thanks to artificial insemination and socially accepted no longer being social accepted or practiced due to a lack of money. The way social regression works involves racism for the excuse of self betterment. Here is an example. Imagine I'm a new race known as the green race. I suffer from supreme nepotism. Suddenly some green raced guy goes and runs over a bunch of children with a bus. Sure, what the green guy did was wrong and there is no excuse, but, since I'm a green guy, I purposely take the other green guys side even though they are wrong because of nepotism, creating a situation which forces the green guys to become dependent on other green people being nepotist in order to survive and thrive, meaning that the green guys have to be racist.

Social regression occurs when other green people who aren't nepotist or are genetically nepotist, but, mentally strong, realize that their fellow green people are racist as hell and causing every major problem in the world because they want to enslave other people and treat them like garbage. Once a strong enough core of counter nepotist have formed, they attack the people who suffer from their own racial vanity in ways you can see today in many movements across the world from the middle east to the United States. The reason this is called social regression is because it puts the most racist group at a huge long term disadvantage because of their natural social psychological history clocks that they have no control over internally. This is why you see that the most racist group in any civilization not only has the most rights, but, also ends up having to kill a large portion of their own people to remain in power from time and time again, beating their children to indoctrinate them and stuff.

It's going to work against racist in the long run because people have an easier time now more than ever to be considered any race they feel like and even look like those races.
