Senegal penalty overturned, the challenge was worse than the one on Mbappé. If the referee didn’t make the initial call to give penalty to France, he would’ve stuck with that decision. “Clear and obvious error” is the standard, and thus, Senegal was robbed!!!

its pretty sad to see both of messi and ronaldo out so early in their last world up. these guys acheived everything, they just needed a world up.

Maybe they're trying to reduce the usage of VAR (referee running over to review the play himself), but think he saw something in the challenge that wasn't there. I do wonder whether it was assistant or central referee who made the call though...
