You are standing by train tracks. A train is heading towards 5 people on the tracks. If you pull a lever, the train will switch to another track with only 1 person on it. Which would you do?
That shouldn't be on the player, imo. It's literally the biggest flaw of having a 3rd party. No 3rd party setups should be comped for that reason. If you don't want the player to have the ability to choose who wins, then stop comping it.
a player shouldn't be able to choose who gets to win at that junction of the game
you can argue that the threat becomes meaningless because hes obligated to vote nl at the end of the day. its the only action that isn't gamethrowing and that in effect town is essentially in autoloss, but thats fine because forcing town to not be able to choose who gets to win the game is a favorable outcome

you're right they do have to be empty but they have the opportunity to convince scum to nl (which can work if they're bad) and that's what gives them a chance to get out of autoloss
it's really not a hard concept that a miniscule chance of messing up mafia so you get out of autoloss > 0 chance of getting out of autoloss
no he isn't allowed to, but he can wait until the other scum votes and say "i'll vote him with you" or something.
But surely the other scum knows that once he crosses his 'partner', that the agent would have to vote NL or else be kingmaking again, and even if he does decide to do that with the knowledge that agent's going to vote NL you're left with the problem of intention broadcasting...
Just seems to me that the only options agent has are to make threats that, after putting a bit of thought into them, have to be completely empty.
Anyway, allow me beating a dead horse, but what if I as killer in 3 way with spy and agent decide to wait until kicks to vote the agent.
I vote and instantly kick, is agent still allowed to cross me? Cos if he isn't, then he really genuinely is in autoloss from the start. And if he is, then isn't that technically a loophole that allows him to kingmake/GT?

"Huh. I can't believe that you people actually CARE about this game, still. I am an intellectual and have moved onto more difficult games, like online chess."
