i have distinct memories as a kid of people always saying "wear your shoes or something bad might happen!" and when questioned hwat theyd say you might step on a nail or something, i also recall any infographics of needing shoes containing nails too. but now i dont think ive ever recalled anyone stepping on a nail and i mr remindniid of this after seung a nail outside
