Return to SimBB

about 6 years

After an extensive hiatus, SimBB has decided to return for its 19th season!

Drama, alliances, showmances, blindsides, and more are to be expected as over 500 cameras have been set up to record the incoming houseguests. For the duration of three months, sixteen individuals will have to endure more than ever if they want to make it to the end and win the half million dollar prize.

With this return to a back to the basics, production felt it was fitting to have these theme be a return the throwbacks. Remember back when toys such as Furby as Tamagotchhi, shows such as Lizzie McGuire and That's So Raven were a big deal? Well, each of the sixteen individual characters will be considered Old School- representing nostalgic staples across the station!

Do you think your pick has what it takes to bring back the memories and win Big Brother? Tune in to Return to SimBB!

But Firsts...

  • For those who do not know, SimBB is more of a forum-based game in which people submit characters for a Big Brother simulator. After all is entered, I will be writing out an entire season in the form of a story so to speak, divided up by Episodes that represent an entire week in the game (roughly 14-15 Episodes in total)
  • Houseguests you enter must abide by the Old School Theme
  • Previously entered Houseguests may not compete. If you happen to send one in on accident, I'll allow you to resend without any setback.

For the Applications, there will be 7 attributes- Physical, Endurance and Mental will be in regards to Competition stats. Strategy, Loyalty, Social, and Temperament will be in regards to other stats. When you submit a Houseguest, you must submit with at most 24 points spread across.

Example:
Name- Spongebob
Physical: 2
Endurance: 4
Mental: 3
Strategy: 4
Loyalty: 1
Social: 5
Temperament: 5

Will be taking 8 males and 8 females! You may send a character in once every 24 hours!

  2. Balto (ZodiacBeast)
  3. Paul McCartney (Dared)

Posting Week 8 today! Since there are less houseguests, the weeks will be shorter!

My plan after Week 9 is to essentially do two more bits. The first is a jury segment because that's always a must haha

The second is to essentially do a finale like thing. I figure at some point, with so few houseguests left it makes little sense to prolong the inevitable so in total, there will be three more bits left! Hope it leads to a satisfying conclusion to the season!

Week 6 Thoughts:

Spoiler
I unconditionally love Michael, but GOD is he SUCH a tool. Interestingly, despite convincing Michael to go along with their plan to renom Charlie, the Mega-Alliance had a HORRIBLE week. Losing 2 (3 if Charlie is really back with the Grandpas) members.

I'm disappointed because I was really expecting more from Paul, but he stuck with this group for too long and it wasn't enough to save him. J's story is pretty similar except it seems that Mai was a lot more deliberate in betraying J. Zelda is just there to hang-out which is probably not a bad idea when you're dealing with allies like J and Mai. But every alliance Zelda is involved with seems to die immediately.

Aurora and Tyrion impressed me this week honestly. Playing in the middle like they are isn't very easy, especially when there are others (Stephen/Charlie) trying to do the same thing. But none of that was able to keep Aurora off the block, and I'm worried she's only sticking around because of a few fluke veto wins.

The Grandpas had a roller coaster of a week. Michael going rogue (again) and Stephen beginning to lose faith had me convinced Charlie was done for in the first eviction. I'm not sure any of them will be able to easily integrate into another group. Their best bet at this point is to try and rope in Mai/Zelda but they really need to win some comps to pull that off.

Balto and Chun-Li fought and made-up this week. I think it's very telling that neither of these 2 are going to turn on each other for a long time, and the only alliance that seems to have that same kind of loyalty is Tyrion/Aurora. The fact that they're questioning working with the Grandpas makes me think there's gonna be a line drawn in the sand really soon.

Week 4 Thoughts:

Spoiler
I'm going back to speaking about alliances because this week starts to make it clearer where the lines are drawn.

First, the Grandpas Alliance is continuing to stay safe even if they're being un-coordinated about it. Stephen is beginning to sketch-out both of his allies though, and with Charlie already not liking Michael, I feel like this group could boil over at any minute, and when that happens, I think all 3 of them are done for.

Working with the Grandpas, we have the Obvious F2 of Balto and Chun-Li. While their alliance with the Grandpas has remained secret, their alliance with each other hasn't at all. People are grouping them together and while Balto did stick out a little on his own with the eviction vote, I'm not sure it'll be enough to keep them safe.

J, Mai, and Paul have recruited a large chunk of the house into a mega-alliance, and we all saw how that worked out for Maleficent. I've been expecting this group to fall apart any day now and it hasn't happened yet, but they really just don't seem to have the trust or the strength to pull it all the way to the end.

I'll be calling Tyrion and Aurora the "New Kids" because they've been so strategically isolated it's like they just showed up. Luckily with an HoH, they might be able integrate themselves into an already-established alliance. I think whatever side they align with will have an edge going into the future.

Princesses Alliance is basically dead now. With Amy gone and Aurora not expressing any interest in sticking around, Zelda is already looking for new allies. The only reason Zelda and Peach might have some life going forward is if they can get back on page with each other which seems unlikely.

My thoughts on Week 3:

Spoiler
This was a big week and a lot of characters that were previously under the radar really had their coming out party. Instead of going over the alliances since they didn't seem as relevant this week, I'll go over a few individuals I thought were important.

Even if Peach didn't get a ton of screentime this week, we can see how she's an extremely emotional player, often to her allies detriment. I'm curious to see how Amy and Zelda plan to work around this in the future.

Paul had a bit of a shining moment when he actively rebelled against J and Mai. Even if votes didn't shake out the way he planned, I expect to see him making waves very soon.

While Stephen has started to fade into the background, possibly getting too comfortable, Charlie and (somehow) Michael are beginning to be positioned better than him.

Also my favorite moment is the PoV ceremony when Aurora and Balto jumped Maleficent but none of them are really UTR characters at this point.

Chun-Li winning HoH is going to be fascinating. Maybe Amy and Zelda can use Peach to stay safe this week? If that's the case, I'd start to worry if I was J or Mai.

Okay my week 2 thoughts!

Spoiler
The game is starting to take form with some of the first major betrayals of the season. Like SOMEONE predicted last week, the Princesses Alliance is really starting to crumble, so much so that I don't even know if it should be considered a legit alliance anymore.

Amy betraying Pink here and outting her secret to get her nommed seems like a really REALLY bad move. Out of everyone, Amy is without a doubt the most culpable for eliminating her own ally, which will certainly weaken her going forward.

Stephen, Michael, and Charlie were somehow able to hold it together, even if they're starting to make side deals. I was expecting Charlie to just remove himself from this whole thing after week 1, but it appears he won't be jumping ship just yet.

Chun-Li's HoH ultimately wasn't that good for her, considering how she somehow managed to evict her own ally like Michael did last week. Balto was ultimately just playing damage control for Chun-Li's horrible social game, however, the pair did nothing to disassociate themselves from each other in the event that they're targets.

Maleficent gets an A for effort but still isn't successful at getting what she wants. Come on, is this woman comic relief or something? The audience wants blood!

I really can't tell if Mai, J, or Paul have any loyalty to Maleficent or if they're just in it for the lol's. Either way is bad because they all seem more focused on causing chaos than actually playing well.

So Amy ends up winning HoH and seems to have some kind of safety deal with Mai, Balto, and Charlie, but the way this was shown to us was reallllly odd and makes me think there's more to it than we'd expect.

As always my alliance chart is updated to the best of my abilities, though I expect we'll see some alliances be completely removed by next week. https://docs.google.com/drawings/d/1HyOZquckJUH2wwJQ52I1fe96BFobKsM-qGKVT2FaITI/edit?usp=sharing
