because mafia is a game of information and having a role that denies one and only one player information is antithetical to the idea of playing a game of information
@alex why have the mods not taken initiative already in announcing the rules regarding manhunt?
we also don't know if it will stay. it'd be really funny if the mods typed a big thread which took a long time to make and then turq simply uncomps manhunt and owns the entire staff
That thread can be used forever. I'll type it in the morning.

good pun. i'm making a setup called "y'all know what time it is" with clockmaker as the centerpiece, main lobby is not ready
i feel like clockmaker would be the most broken role to ever see the light of day and nobody would know it until 5 years after its initial creation since nobody has ever played with it
I suggest the mods should announce the rule regarding kingmaker. If you want I can help elaborate all situations so that the rule is fair.
1- hunter killer mafia 3 way
Firstly hunter should just nl here. The mafia or killer will never vote the hunter there because if they vote the hunter they risk losing. Rather they should nl so they are safe and can kill the hunter at night for combined win or betray the other scum.
Therefore nl is in best interest for both.
If mafia or killer tries to vote the other scum then also it is optimal for the hunter to nl as they stand a chance by nling. But certain loss if they lynch.
If both scum vote the hunter then the hunter can threaten a scum and ask them to nl with them.
We can easily have a great manhunt round without any gt reports and controversies if the following is done.
Make a thread regarding the kingmaker rule. List all scenarios and mention the optimal move. Allow the players to share the thread link during the game without being reported for ogi.
There is nothing wrong with the kingmaker rule and it should be enforced and executed properly.
actually i remember being hunter in this situation, we NLd and mafia and killer killed each other so town won lmao
i guess it's possible.
