I think we need an independent panel that can oversee battles between mods and players and give mods actual mod abuse vios and punishments when they abuse powers
i nominate pranay to oversee this panel, but there should be a handful of people in it.
please discuss this constructively
should there be an independent panel that can overturn verdicts? Should they be able to punish corrupt mods?
10
punish mods only
2
overturns verdicts and punishes mods
1
overturns verdicts only
1
can do neither

Feel like the mod team heirachy should be doing this internally, but I think that all circumstances of mod abuse will be 50-50 and not set in stone verdicts, so punishing mods would be unfair..
idg why people are posting novels when sachy won the thread in post 1

this is true. you closed my report without even looking at what happened or the bin to refute it

the fix to having a continued line of people watching other people is to just vote on this group of people that are there to protect us from this mod abuse. So like we put you in power, but if you do a bad job, you just get voted off and replaced
this posts supports making you in charge of this!!!!!!
the problem with using the admins for this purpose is they put the the mods in place and do not really resolve the problems with them. they try to put friends in place and seem to more cover up/ignore the problems. part of this may be just due to the fact that that the admins were not even active until recently. sachy i think is trying to fix things, but they do not have time to do so much 2.
i do disagree that there should not be a punishment available. I do not think that they should be given out a lot, but there should be people that can look at bunch of a mod's reports and punish them if they tend to be abusing their powers. This would keep them from abusing powers so much.
We need more admins then and a group of people to moderate the admins, while we're at it might as well get one more group to keep the guys moderating the admins in check to avoid corruption. And before you say we need an additional group to keep the people watching over the people watching the admins we'll just have the mods watch the people watching the people who are watching the admins that way it goes full circle.

If you think that dispute resolution should end with punishment then you are the root of all the problems. A proper dispute resolution always ends with making both parties happy. That is what we aim at. We may not get 100 percent everytime but we have to try for that. Giving a mod abuse vio will never stop mod abuse. I doubt any admin even thinks of or has a vision to resolve the issue at its roots. If a setup is creating problems then blacklisting the setup is not the best resolution. The admin always takes a win lose call. They dont even try to make a win win call.
And we already have the admin to resolve player vs mod issues. Thats part of admin job.
