this requires lucid most likely, but to avoid a massive amount of hipfire reports, a gun in competitive games should not be able to work until a 2 minute timer has passed

the problem is the law is not clear now and people get hipfire vios when they shoot an actual fos. People do not know that shooting like day1 is like auto hipfire now, so either the law needs changed and advertised or what soda said might work to stop those of us that shoot fosses from getting incorrect vios

I blame the weak as$ rules that don't clearly define specifics and give all the power of the verdict to the specific person dealing w/ the report. This is literally why you can't use precedent as an argument because each mod is going to have their viewing of the rules.
Not bad, but here's the thing: Hipfiring is defined as shooting a player based on nothing, i.e. without reads. Someone that intentionally wants to hipfire (and thus GT) will always hipfire, even if it's 2 minutes into the day. That's the reason why I think that this suggestion would not make any difference
