You could stop deleting. Just host a game of a setup that doesn't suck and people join because it's you.

let's have the noobs that dont understand fancy pants mechanics in comp it'll be fun
is playing jfk/fp/g&h until they hit 1500 really gonna teach them mechanics tho
deletedalmost 7 years
Anyway do you have any idea how easy it is to win a table with new players. The fact that they don't know what the hell they are doing is compensated by the fact that they'll do whatever you say because they don't know what the hell they are doing

Let's all be so afraid of new players that the competition loses 20-50 people every round until there are no more

at first i wasn't on board with getting rid of or reducing the threshhold but after trying to get this alt to 1500 i realized it's garbage and no one likes it

I used to finish red hearts above 80% every time, and it still took forever.

its taken me an hour and a half, but i'm only 600 points away from being able to go back to my main. thank god the 1500 point rule is stopping vagrants like me from just playing willy nilly

It's the lyrics to green eggs and ham, maybe too clever for this crowd

I would not play them Here or there. I would not play them Anywhere. I do not like red ranked games. I do not like them, B*tch I'm Rick James

1500 is a pretty dumb number
deletedalmost 7 years
While I would contend that outright removing it would revitalize the half-dead competition, lowering the point requirement for known players would also be fine
deletedalmost 7 years
Yeah, if someone who was known on the site wanted to run on a secret alt I'd be totally fine with temporarily removing the point requirement so that they could join the round.
Outright removing it seems like a bad idea to me though still.

dan as an admin was cool. every time i made an alt i wanted to get into comp, i'd just ask him "hey could you lower the point requirement for 6 seconds" and then join the comp on the alt
deletedalmost 7 years
Well if you think that the 1500 point requirement serves any purpose whatsoever, you're flat out dumb, and I have 5 years of empirical evidence proving it.
Check out the round I have a silver on this account from, where he cheats me out of gold in spite of the oh-so-holy 1500 point requirement.

hey guys what's going on in this thread

I also don't have a Facebook account, and I do know that a few people have other means of contact with him. I just meant that he was in the actual mod Skype group for a long time and not once did he actually speak in it or respond.

Make all 4 Bug Report forum slots stickied threads declaring the 1500 point requirement a bug
deletedalmost 7 years
Yeah I saw it. I guess when push comes to shove I think that removing the point requirement wouldn't be the wisest of moves, but even if I was gung ho for removing it I would have to bother so many people just to see if anything could be done. And from there I'd be basically just harassing Nathan to try and get something done, and tbqh I try to reserve my requests from him/others for when it's something I think is *really* important so that when I do request something it's often filled

I think Nathan can do it, and if not I expect you to all rally for the change next time Lucid is around to appoint an admin, because it is both frustratingly r.etarded and killing the site
Lucid is just plain not around. I've modded twice now for a pretty solid amount of time and not once have I ever even held a correspondence with him.
At one point we actually had no admins for the site and Lucid still wasn't around to take action. It is very frustrating, I agree
He responds to FB if you have him on there, and either way he will be back eventually to appoint Nathan's replacement. Make this a policy priority.
