Okay so I don't remember the films like at all? Mainly because they left so much out I tuned out even when I watched them in theaters. I'm STILL mad they left the potion logic thing out of the first movie but w/e.
ANYWAYS, so I started to re-read the books a year ago and stopped after the Goblet of Fire because I got busy. Based on that.
[BEST] 3 > 4 > 1 > 2 [WORST]
I feel like i'm going to re-read over the holidays now. :fufu:
Edit: Oh forgot to mention but I hated new Dumbledore in the third movie. RIP original Dumbledore because he was great.
How could 1 not be your fave :(
and yeah we ALL liked old dumble, rip :(
I remember loving the first movie! Tbh if I were ranking the movies (like I'm supposed to lmao) I would probably have it higher? Like I enjoy the plot of the fourth book wayyyyy more, but the fourth movie was garbage because so much was left out. I loved the progression of the series, and there was a lot of development in the third and fourth books that I prefer to books one and two. I will say the third movie definitely tops the first for me. Something about it when it was released really spoke to me and sticks with me to this day.
The thing that bugs me about the first movie is that it didn't include the potions logic puzzle because I randomly love that for some reason. I don't think it would have been detrimental to include it in the film? An extra two minutes maybe?

i dont exactly remember it all too well, i just know i liked the books a LOT more than the movies and i dont think it was because the movies were bad or anyting i think it was because i had such high expectations and a feeling of nostalgia that was let down
the magical part of the books was the story creation to me and how fleshed out the universe rowling created was whereas the movies didnt really bring the whole picture to life iMO it just sort of told the direct story of HP
suppose leaving the fluff out was what hampered my ability to like it
Yea i guess it happens to most films, but I still like them for the great music and annoyingly quoting them to friends every ten seconds
Film series as a whole was a let down for not including Peeves.
Harry Potter PS1 games were fantastic though
Ive heard they were good, but I played the RPG style ones on GBC/GBA and those were sick too

hey look at that escunoob, someone agrees with me and not u. how does it feel?
i liked the ghosties that made people feel bad.
I hate you and I know I'm right.
i didnt realise everyone felt the opposite of me for 3 and 4, I did like 4 the others were just better. Maybe I should rank it higher because film viktor krum scores a lot of gay points

michael: stop posting.
your opinions don't count for NOUT considering you bashed star wars
1 and 4 were the best ones imo 2 was alright 3 wasn't great but it wasn't the worst didn't really like 7 part 1 or 2 either 5 and 6 were absolute bollocks
for me it'd definitely have to go 1 > 4 > 2 > 3 > 7p2 > 7p1 > 5 > 6

in elementary school one of my friends borrowed my copy of chamber of secrets, read it, said it made no sense, and never read another hp book but says the movies are her favorite movies ever

goblet of fire is literally second best book in the series please don't do this to me right now i'm fragile
i remember enjoying the first 3 profoundly, got to goblet of fire and gave up on harry potter forever

prisoner of azkaban was the absolute 100% worst movie but goblet of fire is a close second just because of how much it left out from the book.
it would've been 95 hours long if they left in everything but i wish they hadn't cut some of the stuff that they did
