LHarney's 12 Days of Puzzles

It's time to announce my all new contest with a prize of 60 tokens! The contest is a puzzle hunt and will last for almost the whole month of December.

How it Works

Starting December 1st at 8pm EST, I will begin releasing the puzzles in this forum post. I will release one puzzle every 2 days, that way you have time to solve the puzzle I have given you. Each of the first 10 puzzles is designed to guide to an answer word or phrase, either by directly giving you the answer phrase or by giving you a clue to the answer phrase. All answer phrases are either 1 or 2 words The final puzzle is the metapuzzle, you will have to use all of your answers from the 10 previous puzzles to help you solve it. The first person to pm me the correct answer to the metapuzzle wins the tokens Now the puzzles will range in difficulty, some will be easy while others will be harder. As usual you can ask me any yes or no questions to help you solve the puzzles and I will check your solutions to each puzzle to make sure you have a correct answer, BUT please pm me any questions you have and please, please include the number of the puzzle you are working on so I know which puzzle you are talking about and can give you the correct answers to your questions.

Sneak Peek Puzzle This puzzle is a sneak peek of what you can expect throughout the hunt, this is the first puzzle of the hunt but it does not have an answer needed for the metapuzzle, although it is worth looking at. . . answers for the metapuzzle will be in puzzles 2-11. So without further ado here is your sneak peek at the hunt, Puzzle number 1!

Since no one has emailed me the right answer and interest has died off I have decided to end the competition, for all interested the final answer to the hunt was SUGARPLUMS.

Stay 'tuned" though as a new puzzle from me will be up soon for spring break time!

I apologize once more as things have kept me extremely busy and was delayed in updating this yet again. Another reason is because I had to tweak the hunt because my plan for the remaining puzzles wound up not working out, but now all puzzles have been released, the first person to pm me the metapuzzle answer wins the tokens

I am almost ready to release the final parts of the hunt, I do have to rework the hunt a little bit as what I had originally planned isn't going to work but I should have everything ready by Wed/Thurs of this week

I have not forgotten about this, this christmas break has been unexpectedly emotional for my family due to an unexpected loss, but now things are just starting to get better, I will be finishing this up dw, the rest of the hunt will go on.

OKAY, I finally fixed the technical difficulties which btw were a real pain in the butt, and puzzles 5-7 are now up and ready to be solved. I will have more puzzles up soon but I want to give you guys some time to work on these puzzles first.

Slight change of plans the 3 puzzles will be up tomorrow by 8pm EST. My last final was today(thank god) and it went longer than I thought due to a sparkling cider mishap(it's a long story) and its just been a busy week on top of that. I have to make a few tweaks to these next puzzles and then they will be good to go expect them tomorrow.

Hey guys so I wanted to apologize for the unexpected delay of the puzzles, last week was a very busy week and this week is kinda busy for me as well. BUT I am going to make up for it, I will have 3 more puzzles released by Friday of this week. Again I am sorry for the delay, but with finals and a family matter things have just been busy. After Friday of this week things will run a lot smoother

So I have seen that a lot of people are getting close to solving puzzle 2, if I get 10 upvotes on this comment I will give you guys a clue to solving puzzle 2.

When you find all the words some letters will not be used in any of them, and they should form a word/phrase, that's the answer to puzzle 2.Or that's how it usually works at least.

Is the answer phrase for puzzle 2 included within the words found?

So for puzzle 2 I used a word search generator to make the word search and by pure coincidence an 18th holiday word accidentally was added do to the placement of the letters, I missed this as I looked the puzzle over and I apoligize for this but RED is not one of the 17 holiday words you need to find.

Also, I apologize for posting this a little late, I had to fix an error in the Sneak Peek Puzzle that took and it took a little longer than I thought to fix it, no other puzzles will be this late, I will have them posted on time by 8pm EST from now on.
