I started playing this game again about two month ago after spending years away from it, and tbh it's been because some stuff in my life has been really really crappy lately and I just needed a form of escape. Sandbox is really good for just vegging out (ha get it) after a terrible day bcuz no one takes the result seriously and seems like everyone's just trying to make everyone else laugh.
Just wanted to thank everyone, in particular there are a few people who have been really welcoming. I know there's apparently lots of "drama" that happens on this site but in my experience this is a place where I can go when I need to just not think about things, it's been good for me. Feel like I'm moving on/recovering now so wanted to make a post like this before heading out again. <3 you guys, hope you all lose your virginity some day

i dont celebrate thanksgiving but the concept of thankfulness has been a bit of a hot topic recently since its the season and all. i dont really like the whole idea of being thankful for one month (or day) only, but since the idea is so fresh in my mind it does make me realise that i do take a lot of things for granted and that appreciating things, whether its big or small, is very important. im very glad i have what i have, whether it be the opportunities, people, or anything else i've been blessed with
in the same vain, i'd just like to say i really think there is a hole people enjoy to sink in. like if someone's life is awful it is very easy to only focus on the bad because it really feels like thats all there is. in order to change this you really have to be optimistic and gritty. its hard work but it CAN be done no matter who you are or what youre going through. in the end, sitting in negativity won't get anybody anywhere, which is why this is a great thread btw
riskit was just pointing out the irony of the person who made a post abt not judging people in this thread is the same person who posted the most sub tweets

a week ago i heard these people talking about a girl that gets some special treatment and they were making fun of her and saying its not fair that she gets to do the things she does just because shes fat and that she doesnt have a medical excuse or anything, but i also overheard the same girl talking with her friend about how she just got surgery.
this got me thinking about how quick we are to judge others without knowing anything about their lives and it sounds cliche but really just because you dont see something doesnt mean it isnt there. everyone has their own life and their own mind separate from your own. there needs to be a little bit more compassion and understanding with a lot less assumptions and judgemental remarks because in the end we really cant know anything about others if they dont show us
