Lying in BB/Survivor

deletedabout 7 years

Hey everyone! As you know, recently I played in EatBB5 and managed to pull out a win (somehow). However, upon reviewing the game, I noticed that the jury did not like me lying. This brought up the question in my head: is it okay to lie in Big Brother and Survivor, and when is it a good time to do so? Discuss. I'm interested in hearing some answers.

Is lying in BB/Survivor okay?

The only problem with lying is if you are caught in one or a web of them. That seems to be a kiss of death in most games.

Voice has told the truth and caused drama between other players with no blood on his hands. What a king!

Is it okay to lie in survivor? Yes, deception is a key tool in this game. Use it wisely.

When is a good time to lie? When you know what you're doing. You have to know what your lie is going to accomplish. If you don't know why you're lying, then you don't know how to play this game.

You can be honest, unless you're talking to Voice, in which case you should always lie but make sure to make ever effort inside and outside of games to make him think you're not lying.
Otherwise you'll just help him win a 2v7 against ppl like Powerofdeath and HardCarry :^ )

Everybody lies in Big Brother and Survivor, even those who say they don't given the different ways in which a person can lie.

I do think there is a difference between having to lie to better your position in the game and then unnecessarily lying when you don't need to

Lying when theres no point is just bad, like lying to someone ALREADY evicted that you swear on everything that you saved them when you didnt. Stuff like that is also a huge reason why Paul lost BB19 against Josh.

Make sure when you lie, there have to be a good reason for it.

Like I learned a couple of years ago I was telling Voice bad truths like that I wouldnt bring him to the end, or that I am closer to someone else, he would instantly flip his game just to focus on getting me evicted. And in the end I got evicted for it. So I learned that I have to constantly lie to him, all the way to his bitter end, just to give him a false sense of security. Since then he always was on my *ss that I would make pointless lies all the time to him and it wasnt for any causes, but thats not true.

Long story short, make sure that if you cannot get to the end without those certain lies, then by all means, do it. Otherwise if they dont contribute to your game, lying will just hurt the jury management.
