dangan anon deck games started by twitter friends brought me to main, then discovering the laid-back tone of sandbox games (exploring after someone in main yelled at me for being bad at playing basically) brought me to sandbox, then sbbb and amelio dragged me here

It was by chance that I literally came across here. It all began in January I believe of 2014 when I was looking for a way of incorporating a story idea I had. It was meant to be something along the lines of Assassin. Intrigued by this, I then looked up all of the different game types of it and came across mafia.

I heard of it before, but not too much. Curiously, I ended up looking up mafia stuff until I accidentally clicked the link to epicmafia when I meant it for another website. I was oddly excited though as it looked like a place I could play it, so I joined and then played a few games. After two months or so, I finally got the courage to do more than a click-and-go check of the Survivor tab (I had already loved the show among others like BB). I played a few games and actually really enjoyed it. Between the experience and making friends, I ultimately stuck around and here I am!

Searched up mafia game online, and this seemed better than TOS.

I played mafia with a group of people from a super smash bros competitive site and I was the only one who really stuck around

I don't even remember how I got into survivor but that show got me into reddit. After a while in there I saw some annoucements of some vivor ORGs but I never really wanted to commit to that so I payed no attention. However one post made by HC caught my eye (I still have it saved in my reddit account) so I thought f*ck it why not.

So mid November 2016 I playerd my first game and I remember having JohnB and Karth as allies and JB specially helped me to understand how all of this worked and I somehow ended up dragging my to 4th place. After that I played a few more games but went away for 2 months or so bc I wasn't that hooked.

I came back by February to give it another shot and after a bunch of other games I see the apps for EMBB5 pop up, I wasn't planing on appliying at all until I got recommended by someone of the host team for being active in the lobby so once again, f*ck it why not?

Turned out to be a pretty good decision bc I met a lot of new people and got integrated into the comunity so now I guess I'm stuck in here.

this is going 2 be long

so i used to go on tumblr a lot and i was involved in the big brother community on there and ended up playing this game called big brother tinychat (bbtc) which was similar to the EM games except it's for big brother fans. all the competitions involved big brother trivia. i'm p sure it still exists but i haven't played in a few years

in like mid 2013 ish? a bunch of people from bbtc and the big brother tumblr community were introduced to EM by this guy named Richard (heusers). we called ourselves "bbmafia" and we would host our own games in the lobby. we also played locked sandbox games and created our own setups and stuff. i found the survivor community to be unpleasant so i kind of drifted away from the lobby (i wasn't in the famous bbmafia vs lobby game where only jessy survived lolol) and went into training/sandbox a lot more, and then sandbox exclusively after i got banned in training/comp.

i was on-and-off in sandbox from like... early 2015 until about august 2016. august 2016 was when i came back after about a 6 month break from the site, and i made a cool group of friends in sandbox. one of those friends was this guy named MrBernke (he's self deleted now RIP) and he had a few friends in survivor. he mentioned that they convinced him to apply for EMBB4 and i was still a huge big brother fan and i told him that and he convinced me that i should apply too. so i did! and i got on (thx jessy) and he didn't. and i've stuck around since then because i made a lot of really cool friends ♥

I used to play mafia on a website called Kira online which is closer to werewolf than to em. I played tos at the same time. I got bored of those so googled "Mafia games online" and this was the top search.

Was in main for about a month played unranked prefered it over a more stressful ranked then i noticed for the first time that there are other lobbies on this website.
That is how i found my home of sandbox. I played there for about 2/3 months.
In sandbox one fateful day I veggied with soda aka matt and we became em lovers because of it.
I learnt that he hang out in the survivor lobby and was a mod there so i went to see where my em husband hang out in. I played a game and got 2nd boot cause i had to eat ma dinner and watched from the graveyard and was intrudged by the game.

And that is how my addiction of survivor begun. Yall can blame Matt.

i wasnt really addicted until embb3. about midway through the game i realised that I wasn't playing that badly. It was a new experiance to me since i struggled so much in minis. I realised that this play mode was more suited for my game style. I got highspace to add me to the fb wiki group and before I knew it was in 4 orgs at once :D. And addicted.

played a lot of mafia mod on a very old game warcraft 3 like 10 years ago, then we migrated to starcraft 2 when it came out in 2010. Been active on the forum in 2012 and got super involved with the community (my first online community) and then I found epicmafia since mafia, and about few months later I found my way into survivor lobby and here I am!

Basically it was like this!

I was banned from Habbo Hotel in 2011

I found this private hotel called Blah hotel later named static hotel (2012)

In static hotel there used to be survivor games hosted like here! There was reflex (named fastest typer), gaw and other typing challenges that you would find in vivor!
I met some great people there!
Then static hotel got shut down and I found out this other private hotel Fresh Hotel! (2013) I met the same people from static hotel turns out they moved there too.
Then after playing Fresh hotel after 1 month I went back to Habbo Hotel to see what's good.

I found this game being hosted called mafia! It was really fun! Then I found a sticker saying : Based off the game called "Epicmafia"

I joined epicmafia on july 2013 . But mostly through 2013-2014 i played fresh hotel cause my old friends that I met still hosted vivor games there! in 2015 my dudes barely came on ! I found vivor lobby in 2015. Decided to see what's good here cause it reminded me of the good o'l days of fresh hotel!

In fresh hotel I've been working on this for like 1.5 years never finished it!

What's good about fresh hotel is that you can do typing and THESE physical challenges! Sadly the teleporters are not working for some reason.

I was looking up online mafia, I found this website, signed up, and I see a list of lobbies. Survivor Lobby immediately stands out, I click on it, I see a game labeled Big Brother Takeover, so I enter. It was a game hosted by Cjn104. Most people immediately thought I was an alt, and at the time I didn't know any of the terms including alt. So I'm constantly asking what an alt is and people are still thinking I'm an alt. But when that was all settled I played the game. Karthikbk was helpful in telling me how everything worked. I was also close to VWXYZ in that game(before he was banned and before I knew that he deserved to be banned.) And Cjn104 was really helpful with explaining the challenges, and I had a good time even though I was evicted 4th or 5th. From there I went on to never win a single game over 6 months, but I'm not a sore loser. And I've won a very high total of 5 games in my EM career.

friends linked me to the site to play troll games in sandbox one day I decided to play without them and a game with mostly blues caught my eye so I joined it and met random4life. He was a chill guy and explained how Survivor worked to me simultaneously while he was hosting the game. Went on to win the game and thought it was fun so I kept an eye out for more. Place sure has evolved since then.

I remember faintly joining Epicmafia. I played the main lobby and sandbox a bit and then took a bit of a break from it. I came back to play and saw the survivor lobby. I joined a "game" with 45 people in it! I was like woah, this game has a looooot of people. Then I was told, this is just the pregame. Haha, such a noob I was.

May 2008 I joined this other site which had a Werewolf/Humans game very similar to Mafia. Then beginning of 2010 a bunch of people who played the Werewolf game found this site and like 5 of us signed up, and that was nearly 8 years ago, and here I still am. Yikes.

i was looking for games like town of salem so i looked up "sites to play mafia" and found EM. i only played in main lobby for a while and took a 2 year hiatus and when i came back i didn't even know what vivor lobby was until some random main lobby friend linked me to a vivor game and that's how i found vivor lobby !!

I saw a few posts on r/survivor on reddit about em and survivor lobby, one in particular from rs1993. I thought what the heck, I love survivor, let's see why all these people are hyping this up. And now you're all stuck with me.

I came from Reddit earlier this year, but never said anything about it because there are people on this site who have been here a while who look down on us who come from one particular website rather than another for some reason. I'm still not sure why that idea of disparaging someone as a "Redditor" exists. Perhaps because most people who came in this new wave are more hyper-strategic than focused on relationships? I try to do both in a way that I think is a good mix of old-school and new-school EMSurvivor players, but still get irked when I hear the older players say "redditor" as a derogatory term. I have no idea who was the person who posted something on Reddit about EM games, but I thank them for bringing me into this wonderful freaky floppy community where I've met some amazing people and have had a lot of fun.

Back in 2015 my friends saw a post on tumblr about this site and they wanted me to sign up with them so I did, I played a lot of main/game lobby games with them but I was the only one who stayed and made an effort to talk with the EM community (bad idea)

Then one of my main lobby friends decided to host a survivor game but host role didn't work in main lobby, so she moved the game to survivor lobby and that was when I found myself addicted to it because I would follow my main lobby friends to vivor games (Dariukas/Ryman/Cody!)
