HEY Y’ALL!!
So, first things first—I know this is something that’s been done before.
The goal for this discord server is for it to be as interactive as possible. This is going to be a place where the members of the Survivor lobby can hang out and literally do the things we like to do on a daily basis.
So, like most discord servers, we’re going to have multiple different text and voice channels. The text channels are mainly going to be used the bot commands, as well as discussing current and past Big Brother and Survivor shows, with a main channel for general discussions. I'm open to adding more text channels for different things, but for now, that's what I came up with.
There's 2 super important text channels--
welcome-mat: this is where the server rules will be posted. I'm sure I will add more things to this in the future.
announcements: this is where we will announce different events and hangouts, etc. i.e. Tonight, at 9pm EST I'll be hosting Quiplash! Be there or be square!
The voice channels are going to be mainly used for video games, music, and of course voice discussion. We have channels for League of Legends, Quiplash, Civ 5, etc. I'll definitely add more, just let me know in the comments and if there's enough interest I'll continue to add.
Being a Skype user myself, I have found that Skype tends to be pretty circlejerk-y. I admit, I definitely am apart of those circlejerk chats. But I'm hoping this will be a place where all members of the Survivor lobby can join and hangout. Discord is less laggy, has way more user interaction capabilities, and has so many different functions that we can use for a multitude of different things in the future. The sky is really the limit.
Invitations: I am going to be very strict with who is allowed in the server. I know we have friends from other websites that we'd like to include here and such, and I get that. This is going to be a place for Survivor Lobby members only. Myself and the server mods will be monitoring the invites. If you are inviting people who are not apart of the lobby, you will be removed. Please ask the server mods before inviting people. If you are a known troll, I will kick you. This is not the place. No trolls. No randoms.
Also, I'm looking for discord mods. I'm planning on modding all of the current lobby mods, and I'm looking for people who are super comfortable with discord, like people who use it on a daily basis. I'm looking for people who are trustworthy, unbiased, and won't abuse powers. Comment or PM me if you're interested in being a discord mod and we can discuss that elsewhere. I'm going to be super thorough with who becomes a mod, so please don't be upset if I say no.

Survivor Lobby Discord Rules:
- Treat everyone respectfully. Use common sense.
- No spamming or flooding.
- No inviting without asking and getting confirmation from a server mod.
- No adult or explicit material.
- No hateful comments including, but not limited to, sexual orientation, sexual content, gender identity, religious beliefs, mental capabilities, racist, violent, disturbing, homophobic, or degrading content.
- No outing person or privileged information without permission or threatening to dox.
- No inappropriate nicknames or avatars. Anything pornographic or highly offensive falls under this category.
- Don't send links to scam websites, websites, phishing websites.
- Do not link external website or images that included sexual, racist, violent, disturbing or inappropriate content.
If these rules are broken, you will be kicked or banned from the Discord server.
