Why do I have to wait 24 hours to delete an account? why can't I delete an account whenever I want?

yeah, such as friends stealing your phone and changing information or deleting accounts

it's probably to prevent abuse of deleting accounts, but i'm too tired to come up with examples of how it could be abused
