I recently discovered the word "to feign". Does it mean the exact same thing as "to fake"? For exampled, "to feign an orgasm" instead of "to fake an orgasm"? Are the words interchangeable and is the word "to feign" better than "to fake"? Thank you loads my toads

So you can feign actions but not things, and you can forge things but not actions, and you can fake both.

not the exact same thing, but they are synonyms

like feign cannot be used to replaced words like forge the way fake can

you can't feign a document, but you can feign interest
