no peta, he was saying that 'postmodernists' try to deconstruct hierarchies as not being about power, when in fact they are.
he may have misspoke at that specific point, but he elaborates very specifically later on and iirc directly after what you are quoting that the postmodern perspective has an unconscious intention of blurring the lines of dominance hierarchies, which are inherently based on power most of the time. there are other aspects to the hierarchies, because power comes from many different aspects of one's life, but ultimately the 'postmodern' argument is a destabilizing one that attempts to attain power by subverting the notion that a hierarchy is even necessary. or, in other words, a subverting control on others in the midst of mob mentality / chaos / virtue signalling etc

". . . and even the [postmodernists'] insistence that hierarchies are always based on power. The hierarchy of neurosurgeons is not based on power. Or, yeah, it is, obviously, you know? Hierarchies are based on some degree on power."

extremely fascinating, will make you rethink and rethink again your current paradigms
Hahaha, he's currently upset about how he got a letter from a university student who got in an argument on FB and got a warning letter from her university after she sent the person she was arguing with a link to a mental institution so the person could get help.
"I've read Foucault's work, I thought what he said is obvious" lmao has this guy ever kissed a girl

the postmodern problem is solved by mentally mapping a constellation where one individual's hormone replacement therapy leads to me getting ebola AIDS cancer and simultaneously murdered by a black man
