i wrote an enormous 6000 character+ criticism that took up multiple posts of numerous mod things and included specific examples and pictures/links of what i was talking about on page 140 and the thread got to nearly page 200 and it wasnt answered at all and the nthe thread was deleted

to be fair, modding isn't something everyone wants to do and someone who cared a lot about the site could be just as partisan if not more
it's just that it seems like people cheat and break rules and are not recused from moderating it later + a majority of the calls for demodding someone seem to have a personal element lol
there is no general attitude about preserving the integrity of the site as whole, let alone comp

i mean like the problem isn't that certain mods are just awful, it's that the entire community has a status quo and doesn't seem to deviate significantly from it. A lot of people don't necessarily treat serious rulebreak as a bad thing and don't treat a lot of the minor offenses as offenses at all, and the admins seem practically inert. I don't think a single error in judgment is the problem so much as the general attitude that preserving the integrity of the game only matters in comp and even then it's still up for debate

what if we just drop the pretense that there are enough reasonable people on this site who actually care enough to mod correctly all the time or hold the people who do mod to that standard
