Boring setups - come on people

no one plays different setups anymore

all i see is fancy pants guns and hookers or that stupid jfk assassination game

this website is boring whats the point of having 150 roles if we only use like 7 or 8

and don't tell me to play sandbox because sandbox has the same problem

sandbox only players 12 player closed roles with the occasional 15 player closed role

People, try fricken creating or hosting some more unique setups for goodness sake. How can you stand to only play the same setup over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and OVER AND OVER??!?!?!?

I try to host some new/unique setups but people either never join because there is constantly another person hosting a fp game or something or people will join, downvote the setup, spam the chat, and leave

Epic mafia maybe not so epic after all

Don't get me wrong though, fp, g&h are good but i really dont get why they are played exclusively

I've been on this site for 8 years. I've seen players with greater clout than you actually put effort into this, include myself and Lucid himself. It's not going to work because people will ALWAYS choose the lowest common denominator.

You also shouldn't wear your feelings on your sleeve, insulting your idea is not the same as insulting your person.

@thefire007 You mean the rounds that always bring up Jan 2.0, BV (which I love), HI, FJ, This setup is bad, and then rinse and repeat? :P

There are like 10 setups who rotate every 3 rounds in comp, (6 per round, but only a couple are played every time a lot more than the rest). How is comp what brings new setups to the game?

i think he meant that we should create new setups for people that don't know how to play the game as any role with the intent of increasing variety for people that think they know how to play.

You've failed to realize that there are few night/day interactions that can shake up the way the game is played by pointfarmers and people that join games with no intent to win. Your problem is not a lack of variety, it's that you're never going to shake the redundancy of the playerbase with new setups.

Next you tell me I'm delusional. I take offense to that as well. I think you are trying to say that 163, FDD, and SDS suck. Well, that is LITERALLY my point. Go out and make a new setup that everyone loves and becomes a classic of its own, like take me to granny's, cocos setup, and guns and hookers did. That is literally the whole point of this post.

Really what I didn't understand is why you came on here to insult me and tried to argue with me in an attempt to hinder the creation of new, unique, and fun setups. This was supposed to be encouragement to revitalize the fun on this website but instead you took it and called me delusional and stupid. Thanks for proving my point, though, by embodying the exact mindset that has caused the problem that I made this thread for.

I don't see how playing as the same 5 roles over and over again will help anyone get better with the 150+ roles that are out there. I don't see how you think playing new setups forces new players not to play classic. I literally said in the original post that there is nothing wrong with the classic setups, it would just be more fun to play with unique creations.

You told me I've failed to realize something, and that I take that personally.. Pointfarmers and gamethrowers was not the focus of this post. I don't want people to make new pointfarm setups, I want people to make new fun setups.
