https://epicmafia.com/report/218536 this thread is to commemorate a new branch in the epicmafia tradition of changing a rule because a moderator broke it. you can now allude to your run so as you don't get lynched. congratulations

because he used ogi subtly?
deletedover 7 years
that person broke some rules then, not private. private never ogi'd that game
deletedover 7 years
he literally got the player who hammered day three to say "yeah, private needs the win"

am i allowed to subtly game throw or subtly cheat?
deletedover 7 years
why does it matter if it's subtle? it's the same think if it's suggestive or blatant

for future reference here: if i ever get janned n1 im going to immediately leave the game and host another
if i host jan2.0 it means i was blue if i host PARYTYYYYYYYYYYYYYY it means i was PR
Ogi rule is not handled properly by mods because most of them don't understand anything about ogi or meta. You may have influenced votes but it is not always worth a vio.
For example, if someone points out that a person joined another game, so he is guised, then it is ogi. But that very person may use the information and not tell anyone, but use it to decide his vote. That information is available to him. Using it is not ogi. The person can be subtle about it and lie that the person failed guise test. That won't be ogi.
If you are subtle about it like private was and make it look like a rant and not point out that you want them to not lynch you coz of the run, then you don't deserve a vio. He didn't break a rule there. The hammers are always influenced by many things when people don't even intend to influence. Many people vote against me many times just coz they know im running and wanna be safe. But that doesn't mean it is ogi. That is inevitable.
If you're stupid enough to not hammer someone just because they're running that's your own problem.
OGI is using something outside of the game to clear yourself or else to force someone to vote in a particular way.
That can be either negative or positive influences i.e, threats or rewards. Or it can be an outside influence which seeks to prove an in game fact, such as meta listed on your profile bio.
This is none of the above he's simply stating a fact about the round. It's no different than saying "I'm on a 10 game losing streak, I really need to win one".
Also please find games where I meta cleared myself on my runs, I don't even play with friends in comp.

lets see some research to back that up

do u think having diabetes makes one a better writer?

I f*cking hate being a dog. Everything always itches, I have no f*cking flexibility. My master just sits there eating the entire plate of food, literally a cking pound of nachos and gives me a single chip with a tiny amount of meat on it and then acts as if he just did me a favor. This mother thinks that he is being generous, he doesn’t know I fake this happiness. I am doing my duty as part of squadron sixteen: Barks of Dog. We all are legion.

pamda upvoted the pic of of you being rude to me, do u think she finds the abuse u put me through funny?
If referring to your run isn't OGI and is AtE, then what is OGI? If someone's hammer is based on some fuckwit who just said "IM RUNNING DONT HAMMER ME," who's win condition are they playing for?
The fact of the matter is that referring to your run to influence a hammer is game changing and bad mannered as fuck. Anyone with a brain can see that. The problem is there are so many dumb circlejerk players like johneid who want a lightly moderated OGI rule so they can join games and meta clear themselves whenever one of their friends die

i guess it's a good thing you're never right about anything john reid
Talking about your run is not ogi. Telling someone you are running and really need to win is a fact and an appeal to put pressure on the other players (a legitimate strategy.)
OGI is using factors outside of the game to 'confirm' you are a particular alignment, or to compel someone to vote in a particular way.
Talking about your run will increase the fear of mishammering and perhaps dissuade you from lynching someone but it does not remove your choice to consider the person is mafia.
This is besides the point but also historically if you look at the final days of most trophy winners there is some form of similar bias because they are running.
If private had said "my cat died this morning and I will be really sad if I get hammered as town" this is not ogi it is simply extreme ate.
On the other hand if he said "my cat died this morning and I'll also kill myself if you hammer me" that would be ogi.
