eurovision hype thread

it's that time of the year again

for those who don't know, eurovision is a song contest in which a bunch of european(ish... kinda. and australia) countries compete with cheesy pop music and glorious staging. it's a heck of a lot of fun

the first semifinal happens today, the second is on thursday and the final is on saturday, all start at 8pm uk time. here's how to watch: https://eurovision.tv/shows

finland - absolutely beautiful song, i loved it even if the staging wasn't the best

there were very few memorable ones, so montenegro is #1. at #2 is latvia (even though her dress sucked). also low-key liked azerbaijan's



the rest of the top 5 for the night are (not in order)

all in all, there was nothing particularly horrendous barring the sh​itdistaster that is moldova but there are very few standouts
