Should the USSR come back?
Most russians say hell yes, comrade! They want a revival of the socialist system, 1 in 3 do not. It's a pretty accepted survey, and although I belive in self determination and that if u r not a russian, its not ur bussiness if they go back to the ussr, what ur opinion?

the ussr was ravaged by operation barbarossa, their civillian loss is unmatched even by germany more than 1500 towns were destroyed. populations levels took decades to go back to pre war levels, their industrial base wich was in its crushing majority west of the urals, was devasted. but yeah, they were totally like the usa, untouched by war...
You are still incorrectly implying these things were the direct result of socialism. The reason Russia emerged as a global superpower along with the US after WW2 isn't because they were socialist, it was because they were the only Allies whose factories didn't get bombed to sh.it during the war.
All socialism did for Russia was lead to economic stagnation to the point Gorbachev was forced to institute Perestroika, bringing about their collapse.
its not at all as if what i meant is that the ussr oversaw a great jump technological development, totally meant is as communism sends ppl to space, its not like the ussr took ppl from abstract poverty, increased literacy and education spending, increased the purchasing power of the avarage russian, and just for kicks, gave the materical conditions that lead the russians to be able to go to space

sure marxist socialism does do the things u just said, however the idea that is the only socialism that exists is laughable, take democratic federalism for an example, where through means of direct democracy no one has more political power than another, while now only a selected group hold state power as a police officer, the goal is for all citzens to be trained in policing, thus eliminating the monopoly on violence by anyone. the militias r not used inside the communities and have no authority over civillians. its based on free association and consensus, meaning even if the community said for u to something u didnt want to do you could always leave or indeed refuse. the idea that individuals have power over others on said society is laughable...
So, this means in Socialism you will never get rich, you will have as much money as everyone else and everything will be the same.
Of course, it is another question if you will have the same rights in the law.
Socialist will never success because it is impossible.
People will never be equal because there is always someone in charge. As long as a person in charge exists , he will always be more than every one else, he will always have more power. Socialsm in its purest form is a dream.
my point exactly, soviets were imperialist, they screwed over ukraine's free territory, plus uk holdomor, WEATHER WAS A MAIN FACTOR, but like the potato famine in ireland, where they had a food surplus that was shipped to foreign markets by the uk policy, soviet policy on ukraine caused a lot of the deaths
As a person living on post-Soviet Union country, I will say that USSR was . Communism is good though, but I'm not signing up to Russian communism ever again.
