“Hello, boys and girls. Hannah Baker here. Live and in stereo. No return engagements. No encore. And this time, absolutely no requests. I hope you’re ready, because i’m about to tell you the story of my life. More specifically, why my life ended. And if you’re listening to theses tapes, you’re one of the reasons why."
As you might've heard, there's a new series on Netflix out titled 13 Reasons Why. IMO, it's one of Netflix's greater releases yet and definitely worth checking out. The reviews for it have been great thus far. It's a series that deal with a tough topic (as this lobby should get familiar with) and showcase the nauseating reality in our world.
If you do in fact plan on checking it out or have already started binge-watching it, discuss here! I'd like to hear your opinion on this show!
Below are the 13 reasons why you should watch this show:

It will leave you crying your heart out at 4:19 a.m. in the morning
Alright, I caved. Episode 1 was actually really good, despite what I thought it was going to be after the first 20 minutes went pretty slowly. Picked up a lot in the second half, definitely will keep watching.
Possible that Tyler actually shot Alex and is planning revenge on the others for bullying him? He does rip Alex's picture down the episode Alex gets shot.
while i do think Tyler is indeed planning revenge, he was taking alex's picture down because he remembers all the time that alex stood up for him while being bullied

I HATE YOU ALEC, I KNOW ME AND THAT BLACK LINE IS SO TEMPTING TO HOVER OVER AND READ AND I JUST WENT AND READ IT DIDN'T I, AND SPOILED THE WHOLE SHOW FOR MYSELF. YAY!
just finished the entire season. i have to admit it was very VERY hard to watch and not look away during some parts. It is depressing. Trauma is trauma is trauma, and this show paints a very clear picture of that.
SPOILER:
in the end, there weren't really any character that had their anguish reprieved, and that's what so good about this series. it shows the realer side of the world and there isn't just some sappy happy ending. though, possible season 2? it seems like tyler is planning revenge on the rest of the group for mistreating him. he did buy a gun (one of many) and he plans on using them? alex shooting himself in the head ended it for me, series should end here. this scene was a trigger that should reset everyone's mindset and realize what happened with Hannah can happen to anyone, and that they should stop.
i'll be on the lookout for new should-watch netflix series.
i remember reading the book in high school and being a bit disappointed that it didn't live up to the hype for me at least, but it looks like the show will be really good and im excited to see it :)
it's about a girl who killed herself and left tapes to haunt the people that wronged her, seems fair.
just finished episode 10, jeff's death was really hinted at very well throughout the story. i was kinda wondering why he hadn't been appearing outside of the flashbacks and who was the other death in the "2 deaths in 2 months" conversation. well, now i know. rip. he was the nicest dude ever, he was always there for clay ;-;
I forced myself to watch three episodes and I'm so done.
- The main character, Clay, is even more boring than the main character in Riverdale. - Jessica is supposed to be the pretty girl and I'm just like.... where? how? what? no. She looks dirty. - I don't know if it's the actor who plays Alex or if it's how the producers chose to style him, but he's like the gay-est straight character I've ever had the displeasure of coming across in a TV show. Everything from the faux septum ring to the bleach blonde hair (the contrast between it and his eyebrows is sickening, by the way) screams 'gay' to me. - At the rate that Clay is going, Katy Perry will somehow win a Grammy award before he finishes listening to those tapes.
I'll go against 'Rotten Tomatoes' and whoever else and argue that Riverdale is better.
