Is it me or are 99% of game outcomes due to one simple read?
I'm not talking about winning or losing, but the fact that the games outcome is due to player(s) using one single thing as evidence against another player in order to make them maf.
For example most people will use a vague line against PlayerA to read them as maf over PlayerB. Some times they'll question another player's thought process because it doesn't allign w/ theirs and call that player out for it.
Is it just me or nah?

it might be true in fancy pants, and guns and hookers, and all the other setups that are directed at newer players and don't really give the opportunity/initiative for all the players to think for themselves, but usually in competitive, reads do change and you can always play to their meta. that's a part of mafia and a totally valid strategy, as either alignment.
And "inno on black" is a terrible way to out your report and the meta on that was valid before it became so well-known. fight me.
Initial, single-line, etc. shallow tells are a good way to get things rolling. Letting games be decided by them is bad, and not what happens in "99% of games."
It happens. Just like someone afk for three days is automatically assumed to be scum, someone who scumhunts is scum, someone who tries to lead when the rest of the game are talking about ice cream with 30 seconds left is scum, someone who claims cop with "inno on black" instead of "black inno" is scum, someone who claims "black inno" instead of "inno on black" is scum, someone who saves pranay on day 1 is scum, but someone who saves anyone else is scum, bc everyone night 1s pranay.
Meta is bad. People do it. We have to deal with it.
I play competitive whenever I see a game that'll actually get filled. For the most part the games take like a half hour to fill. I'll play just about any setup that's about to fill. But even competitive I've seen people use the stupidest sh*t to tunnel someone or at least fos them.
