Here's the doc we used for the game - it included information about the twists while also functioning like a normal doc would, by listing players and announcing Kings, ruling families, and evictions: https://goo.gl/T4kLuX
We also set up a Diary Room in the game, for players to air out anything they wished to in a private space. Here's the spreadsheet with all of the replies: https://goo.gl/aqQqCc
Finally, quick shout-out to jessys for being on the block almost the entire pre-merge and in a fair few portions of the merge as well, and surviving all the way until the Final 5!
"I relay the thank you’s from our hosting team towards all the players for dedicating their time into this game. Like always, the pre-merge phase of the game is special, and this time we traveled back towards ancient and medieval times. There were kings and dynasties alongside the usual Head of Household, keeping each other in check as to not allow one to become too powerful. Instead of Power of Veto competitions, we had the many trials the nominees had to go through to save themselves from the block. We strove to keep this theme intact as much as possible throughout the game."
1st: globetrotter89 (5-2 Jury Vote) SOL 2nd: angkoror SOL 3rd: elmo21 (1-0) SOL 4th: ShaggyR (1-0) LUNA 5th: jessys (2-0) LUNA 6th: Jpriced (2-1) SOL 7th: bryce1997 (2-2*) LUNA 8th: YanmegaMan (3-2) LUNA 9th: FFSierraDamnThomas (3-3*) SOL —JURY— 10th: Bubu (4-3) LUNA
Grand congratulations to globetrotter89 for winning the third installment of BBSocieties - Order and Chaos by a 5-2 vote against runner-up angkoror!
Both finalists played great games - they took part in a Sol core alliance formed to send out the Luna players after the merge developed into a tight struggle between two very proficient sides. Ultimately, Sol began outnumbering Luna, and globetrotter89 and angkoror took part in a Final 3 deal which propelled them to the end.
This game was so much fun to host personally, it was my first BBSocieties game - it definitely took a lot of effort but it was definitely worth it. The twists developed in this series by Jun, frost, and cinnanie never seem to disappoint, and always make the dynamics unique to any other game!
I'd like to say thanks to frost/mauve without who this game would have never been possible - he stepped in at the final moment to make sure the pre-merge ran smoothly as soon as we got word of rs1993 having computer issues.
And I'd also like to say that despite having technical issues, rs1993 put a great deal of time and effort into this game, its challenges and twists. This would have certainly never happened without frost and rs1993.
Huge congratulations to hals for winning Survivor: Champions vs. Challengers in a 7-2 jury vote over ShiroWhite! hals played an incredible game, socially establishing herself at first with her fellow Champions and then skillfully maintaining those during the merge game! She outlasted 28 other players!
This was an amazing game when it came to gameplay - it had lots of good moments right from the start. The Champions twist was that everything was played under anarchy, without vote counts, with some people's votes revealed once every two days. The Challengers twist had people being available to mutiny and create their own tribes at will!
Both twists led to incredible moments - the merge game had a Blood vs. Water-style pair twist between one Champion and one Challenger. One pair - AriaHolmes and ShiroWhite, got themselves to the F5, thus getting each other immune without the need to play the challenge!
