What we get from this?

The biggest setup has 10 players. Which means maximum 10 hearts are used per game.

Lets say 847 x 10 = 8470 hearts.

This is 770 hearts used every day max.

770 out of 5090

This means 4320 are NOT used = 864 players.

Out of them some play just 1-2 hears. Others do not.

This lets 864 alts, some of them or GT or Cheating to play.

At least 154 are playing all their hearts and are somewhat active every day.

Out of those 154 more than half are alts of active players.

Again, i want to propose my ideology to the moderator team.

The amount of alts and players that register is too huge of a number.

The most played setup had 7 players and i am doing my calculation with 10.

Which means that even more players are not playing.

The right decision will be to LOCK the round for new players to sign up when day 5 begins.

There is no reason someone to sign up for the round so late, because they can't win, and because they had 4 days previously to sign up.

After the 4th day, the players that sign up are mostly GT alts, cheating alts and alts that do not even play.

Not just that, but cheaters will be caught cheating easyer, because they can't use old alts to register somewhere around the 10th day and cheat with them.

Please consider those statistics. The games will continue to be played. There won't be any less players that will play because as long as there are around 200 registered, there will be games every 15-20 minutes and there will always be a game open!

TL;DR - Close the round for new sign ups after day 4 AKA beggining of day 5. Based on statistics nothing will change except there will be less gamethrowing and cheating.
