Sexism and racism is inherently linked to power, in such a way that women can't (really) be sexist towards men, and black people can't (really) be racist towards white people.
Yes there are exceptions, I don't want someone to bring up some 3,000 year old civilization that was dominated by black people where they had more privilege.
Racism and sexism are inherently a privilege issue, you can bring up all the cases you want of hate crimes against men from extremists or hate crimes against white people from black people - but it's not racism.
It's discrimination.
If you want to make a case against this then you can prove that women have more privilege than men, or that black people have more privilege than white people.
Maybe it's sad to say that this is primarily the american scope that I'm speaking of, I'm an american so I'm more in tune with american politics and the racial scope in this area.
Just because they're scholars, doesn't mean they're smart. But name one anyway.
Hooooo boy. A woman just ran for President and got attacked for her gender constantly. A woman who was as qualified as you can be for the most powerful job in the world lost it to a man who has never held public office or served in the military. Yeah, women aren't oppressed. Black people get shot left, right, and centre for holding toy guns, or reaching for a wallet, or just being in the wrong place. White people shoot up theatres and get taken to jail in bullet proof vests. The god damned KKK was walking the streets with impunity, but white people see a black guy in a hoodie and he's a thug gonna or murder someone. Let's not even start on mug shots.
Men have apprenticeships, let's remember that. Women aren't encouraged into those, and they're often hostile in fact.
They smarter than your dumb a*ss.
50.3% of science and engineering bachelor’s degrees went to women, lmao, you need a math degree son, b/c 50.3% is nowhere near 2-1.
The 70% is an average across all job fields. Women get paid more for secretarial work, men get more for medical, or acting, or law, or whatever else.
Hey and get this. Women have 50.3% of all undergraduate STEM degrees, but only 29% of STEM jobs.
What's that about?

You know what is really offensive and bigoted?
Treating sexism and racism as one issue that can be discussed together in one thread, and then explaining with examples how you believe they are basically the same thing and not at all nuanced or unique issues.

Staring thoughtfully at a figure showing that gun-related deaths are 120 times more common than terrorism-related deaths, MeetTerry concludes that, although America has a gun problem, it also has an Islam problem.
