When someone slashes someone else with a knife, the thing is that it's not a gun. The stab shouldn't instantly take place. There should be a three second delay with a message before the delay, and the final message after. This gives someone who has a gun, a chance to shoot.

The first message can be something like," <name> does hardcore parkor down a flight of stairs while holding a knife is their mouth and rushing at <name>"

If they get shot in the act, they fail to knife the person.
