pulling a lastprophet

almost 8 years

so a somewhat famous question occurred to me recently which is often presented as a matter of opinion; there is no right answer, there is simply a personal preference which offers some insight into whoever answers as an individual.

however, if preference, being subjective, is predicated on happiness, also subjective, then isn't there an objective answer: to be happy? most people would already say they'd rather be dumb and happy than any level of intelligence and miserable and i think that's because people intrinsically realize that what they prefer is what makes them happy, so the question is simply "would you rather be happy or miserable" as the only reason one might prefer knowledge is assuming they gain some personal benefit from it but if that knowledge is defined by misery then nobody wants it no matter how great it may be

and this has been "pulling a lastprophet"
