I had a friend that was 18, got breathalyzed and aggressive towards the police who stopped him, and all they did was call our RA to bring him home rofl

Then again my uni is privilege ground zero

@Matt every guy feels that way until they push through to that first relationship

after my first relationship it was super easy

I just got outta one and I'm already talking to a few girls with no worry (OK I guess a little but that's normal)

I already asked someone out and it wasn't hard at all because I made it past the scary part

If you were to walk into BK tripping on some LSD and you weren't causing any trouble (unlikely on hallucinogens, but using for example purposes) then you would totally be fine even if the police were there. you can't be arrested for a state of being. you only get arrested for the illegal acts themselves

but they totally do arrest people here for state of beint!!!

also like, most of my best friends are girls. i have no problem talking to girls at all. i just get awkward when i want to bring it to the next level, because i don't know what to do! it seems so much more complexc than just grabbing a bite to eat

As a resident CJ student, I can tell you that you cannot get arrested for being drunk, only if you have possession of alcohol

This is 100% true, my point is that there's no real difference between making male friends and making female friends.

Also the friend zone isn't a thing, every romantic partner is your friend first.

This, you'll get arrested for being disorderly (yelling at people, picking fights, etc.) not just slurring words slightly at the cash register.

Just pretend they're a male friend if you have no problem normally, don't be afraid to ask questions about them (why their major is their major, what they're really about, what's one of their best experiences, for advice on something) and just see what goes from there. Asking "Want to grab a bite to eat?" like Rutab suggested is literally the most magical phrase in the world.

You're genuinely interested in these people and that's something to embrace and show not cover up.
