Please someone teach this user (Forevertogether) how turncoat works. He claims to have 6k games on his main (which he didn't out) and that turncoat can side (like fool) with both town and maf

This setup is going to be in comp, so it's better to have it clear beforehand!

Turncoat, like traitors with masons, must side to their current win condition. Turncoat cannot decide to lynch all the towns and mafside, as that A) ruins games and B) is against their current win condition.

It's a town third party.

This is where you're mistaken.

It's a TOWN MEMBER (until converted). And until converted he has to try to lynch mafia.

If you force nl when there is one civilian alive and two mafias then it's your fault if you force NL in false hope of mafia converting you, but it's not game throwing at all because your intention was to win with mafia.

Look it this way: if I lynch one mafia and one civilian is alive, I have more chances of losing with town than winning (if any chance). If I force NL and make mafia hit me to NL again or lynch civilian for mafia autowin then it's alright, however, by NLing you take the risk of backstabbing and not taking the win.

It's a town third party. And it works in the setup as a Killer in Coco's setup (whether to believe Spy or not) and takes the same risk as any town that plays DLYV (Yakuza converting someone into autoloss or them having to hardcarry as solo mafia).

But the setup isn't very good as, even if shooting mafia D1, town is constantly in lylo situations in civilians. It's not impossible, but the effort put in a balance leans towards town since mafia just have to towntell and claim civilian to an 'easy' win.

I have made a lot of setups with the same concept but IDK why it always seems or is unbalanced. https://epicmafia.com/setup/1363146 this one is the most recent one. Maybe if this doesn't work I could change drunk with mason and add Turncoat again...

6way: 2 mafia 3 town 1 turncoat

turncoat is still NOT converted

He has to lynch mafia, if he forces nl to joint with mafia he's gt'ing. He's STILL TOWN, his WIN CONDITION is to LYNCH MAFIA.

Even if he outs and says "mafia joint with me", mafia can not kill him (thinking it's someone else faking turncoat, baiting), it could be a bait from the real turncoat to get mafia out and lynch them, etc... so it's not even said mafia outs to him

Turncoat in those conditions (the ones in the game in the OP) HAS TO LYNCH MAFIA, according to HIS (and TOWN, which is the same) WIN CONDITION

Guyfawkes, he can side with mafia if he knows mafia will convert him.

Example: TC cannot CC cop on D1 because even if it works, mafia won't go for them and would rather kill in civilians.

However, if you are in a position to kingmake (4way) and you think mafia deserves to win, then you can take your win condition to the mafia side and NL with mafia.

But he can only side with mafia AFTER siding with traitor, not BEFORE!
