Welcome to Forum Mafia 19: Forbidden Actions!

Game is over. Ended on Day 5

Mafia wins! This game was ranked.

The mastermind's behind this game are Gerry, Mori and myself.

The game will be played like any other Forum Mafia game, with one twist! Every player will be given an action pregame. If the action they are given is performed, they will be Killed from the game, with their forbidden action being shown afterward. More information will be given under Rules.

I. The Schedule:

72 Hour Days. 24 Hour Nights

  • If you don't submit actions by the deadline I will consider you taking no action.

II. The Set Up:

  • There is no "possible roles list". I promise not to get too crazy.

  • Mafia will have Day chat. And will know each other's Forbidden Actions

  • You will get an Alignment PM. Town or Mafia and your alignment will not change.

You win if all threats to the town are eliminated and at least one town-aligned player is alive.

You win if at least one member of your group is alive and all other players are dead (or if nothing can prevent the same)

As explained earlier, there will be forbidden actions. YOU CANNOT SHARE YOUR FORBIDDEN ACTION. If found to, you will be mod killed. If you commit the forbidden action, you will be killed from the game. You may speculate forbidden actions of others within the game. If asked whether your forbidden action is something, you cannot confirm or deny. You can also not soft or hint as to what your forbidden action is.

We also will be strict about ISP and replacements. If you think for any reason you MAY have to be replaced, do not sign up. We also reserve the right to deny anyone from joining, if we believe you will troll, isp, sub.

IV. Votes:

  • Votes must be made in the format Vote: Playername. Bolding is done using the tags [b][/b].

  • I will not take any other type of vote. If I can't tell who you're voting, I won't take it.

MOD NOTE Mori will be giving out a token prize to a player from each alignment who the hosts determined played best.

I still lean town on both babylonia and transcend. N1ed I think is town but he's kinda gone under my radar today... Kassidy/Yoyo/Shears were all people I thought were scummy at different times. I thought Aug was scum before but he's one of the few people in this game right now i feel like is saying what they mean and can be sorta taken at face value so i err towards thinking he's town. Denial idk about yet...... I think you're townish but I think you could be deceiving me so there's a lot of paranoia there. Other than that it's really hard to get my thoughts straight/keep them in the same place this game... and always...

Anyway, I've been kinda quiet, because I haven't been that sure of my reads, but there's a couple things I am sure on. I do not think Ripple and Yoyo are partners, given the way Ripple townread Yoyo, like I think if your partner was that scummy, you wouldn't risk townreading them.

And like I really don't get the townread on Yoyo, and I think a lot of it has to with Ideal's behavior. I think a lot of the people bought the ATE, but I think if you're mafia being fos'd that heavily, at that point you have to rely on ATE. And another reason I saw was Ideal wouldn't kill Damned, but I think that's heavily meta, and not reliable at all, especially because he subbed out the next day.

As far as Impoetic goes, I feel like she's just looking for easy targets, like Shears. And if you noticed beforehand, she was mostly focusing on Shears, kinda putting Yoyo off to the side. I have a feeling Yoyo and Impoetic are partners because of that.

I really want to lynch mafia here and not have another day like this where mostly it devolved around two people arguing that the other was scum (Himiko vs Impoetic, Denial vs Babylonia, etc.). It wasn't very useful because the amount of tunnel vision going on is polluting other thought processes. I wanna hear where everyone's head is at right now instead of just scrambling to a lynch.

Yeah, because the useless/inactives can still hold Mafia and I don't want it to become an issue later in the game when you're trying to read a slot that has basically done nothing, if you're going to keep them alive.

admittedly that's me yeah and day 1 i did lynch what everyone else wanted kinda buT THE YOYO READ WAS MINE AND I SPENT SEVERAL POSTS INTERACTING WITH HIM AND HAVING AFOREMENTIONED SECOND THOUGHTS

I like how now you're saying you want to lynch mafia when earlier you were saying you want to get the "useless" people out of the way first.

I am generally uncomfortable with most lynches, because they are just backburner lynches to me. I've been holding my cards tightly to myself because I know the lynches I really want I won't be able to get, therefore I have to compromise on inactives/easier ones. That might not make sense to people, but let's just say that I've had it in my head that Transcend/Babylonia holds one mafia, maybe even both. However, I believe that trying to push these two slots would just cause another circular argument, which I'm trying to avoid.

Uh, honestly, if there's a protective, I'd rather them not be on me, because while my role is useful, it won't help us find mafia. I'd rather they be on the other pr claims.

Even though I'm not completely opposed to a yoyo lynch I am a little uncomfortable with it because I think if he was maf his partners would've already told him to come defend himself. Unless he's that busy...

yoyo because he came in with forced reads and continued to have them and they're all bad and if he's town he's going to be left alive and mess up the game either by being MLed or pushing a ML on obvtown/pr (although I'm starting to think most of the town is PRs...)

I mean I overreact a lot but I don't think it's an overreaction when someone you consider a friend, if distant, suddenly starts telling you you ruined their experience and they're "done with you" and you don't know what it is you did. I have been pretty hyperemotional this game but I certainly haven't hardbuddied anyone I didn't TR (despite what himiko says) and I don't give up on people's alignment/this game just because they question me.
