I don't see how not wanting to lynch someone you're close to is cheating? Like, if you're good friends/dating someone you tend to want to trust them. It's definitely a bias, but I don't see it as cheating, because I think it works both ways, so in the end it balances each other out.

I also don't think that means they're completely opposed to lynching each other, it just takes more convincing, and meta can have a huge role in this. If the friend feels like their other friend is acting scummy, they will lynch them, however sometimes the friend can go against this meta.

I'm not sure if I worded this well, but it's something that just tends to happen when you're playing with friends on epicmafia.
