no, its not the only thing you can do. the good old days never existed. nobody ever took comp seriously after the first 30 rounds. it took me till round 64 to even try because comp was so uncompetitive that it was unappealing to spend my tim trying unless i had literally nothing else in my life going on. the weight of a competition always depends on the rarity and prestige of its prize. when 300 motha's have won a trophy and everyone who has ever tried for one has had one it makes one feel like the entire system is bull. you cant really reverse time and fix this entirely, but maybe some competitive players would actually try if there was an actual carrot
edark tho. im seriously begging you to make comp worthwhile and i think you are smart enough to figure out how to make it happen
The thing is the competition is alive and well, but its just new players who me and you dont recognize that keep it strong. The nostalgia you feel for the old great ones will never come back and its time to either make way for the new generation of "tryharsd" by leaving this site or adapting to them and their playstyle. Its like how LOLUMADS and all those EM1 vets died out when the badboys took the scene.
The only thing the moderators can do is to take cheating seriously and improve finding cheaters/gamethrowers.Its very hard and exhausting but I think we have improved it quite a bit.
