So, I've started working at a preschool (summerjob) and was wondering if you delightful souls have any ideas for activities I can do with the kids. I already have some ideas such as treasurehunting and baking, but I need moar!
I am the best at handling kids. They like to follow instructions whuch they think mean something. For example if you ask each one of them to stand in a particular pattern, they will do so and then they will be very happy to obey all your instructions. The best thing for kids is to give them puzzles and give them props to solve those puzzles. For example you can ask them how many apples they have left if you take some and give some. Give them real apples and ask them simulate the scenario with other kids.
are they old enough to play apples & oranges? twister, stuff like that...
bring figures with you if you have any. not anything valuable, but stuff they can mess around with if they don't like the other activities. also, obvious, but paper and pencils for the same reason.
my aunt is a primary teacher and she does this like dancing thing with her kids...like, it's a follow-along thing, it's youtube videos giving you the moves. i'll ask her for them there a while if you want. she does it to wake them up if attention starts lacking lol, says they love it. sounds awesome tbh
