im saying that's about as liberal and progressive as you can get her to be, and that's what we have to do: hold her to her promises. political accountability is a feasible reality within our lifetimes. it is just a matter of being vigilant
And from history we know that Clinton as as you say playing a game of thrones and will do anything to get elected so I think it's quite reasonable to assume she won't suddenly become a progressive when she is elected. She is only trying to make herself seem like a progressive
"That's about as liberal and progressive as you get" No, it's not. Being a liberal or progressive candidate is being a liberal or progressive candidate. Being a right wing conservative establishment democrat is what Hilary Clinton is. I'm not saying Trump would be a good president, but it annoyed me that you could be so uneducated as to call Hilary Clinton a liberal or a progressive.
shrub, they have openly stated in their campaign that she will fight for the sanders' platform. that's about as liberal and progressive as you get. now whether she actually does those things is another story, but guess what? that's why you HOLD POLITICIANS ACCOUNTABLE.
instead of forking over the country to a literal joke of a businessman whose best enterprises involve faux rich real estate deals and gimmicky brands that derive value from namesake
and those of you saying that nothing will change or nothing will happen, try getting off the computer and hearing about what's actually going on in the world for once. news flash: who you elect as president this year will decide the future of the human race
trump is a joke and will mismanage the country and/or delegate decisions to shady republicans that no one has heard of before (see: mike pence)
online libertarians and conspiracy theorists are convinced that trump is going to "shake things up" and take back america from the establishment, but here's the thing: literally everything donald trump has done in his life points to that not being the case.
the biggest irony out of the donald's rhetoric so far is that hillary is a puppet. no, trump is as close to an actual puppet as you can get, and we have no clue who exactly will end up pulling his strings, because it's always whoever offers him the most money historically. hillary will be precisely the opposite, and that's a legitimate concern - she's basically playing game of thrones in real life.
now, if you have studied even a tiny bit of history and international politics/relations/trade, you know that the 'establishment' of the US has kept us pretty darn well off for a while now. i say that id rather deal with first world problems then be potentially shafted into a 3rd world reality under trump. we really dont know what to expect from trump. hillary has already set her foot down as the standard liberal progressive candidate, and wherever you might fall on the political spectrum, she's a safe choice for the future of our US hegemony and position as leader of the world economy.
trump? trump is like putting charlie from always sunny in philadelphia in charge of the country. sounds like it will be hilarious, but you're most likely going to end up completely f'd over, unless you're charlie, who will probably ignore it and go about his day as usual. and you will laugh until you cry and then you realize how stupid you actually are for voting in a sociopathic narcissistic buffoon
nothing will happen because all of his policies will be blocked by conservative congress. It would honestly be worse is Clinton became president because her policies will go through.
