you don't need to own the album for it to count, as it allows more versatility in the thread

A Few albums I've enjoyed over the past couple months.

Larks Tongues in Aspic - King Crimson.
Easily the best experimental progressive rock album I've ever listened to and maybe the best Progressive Rock band out there. Still sounds relatively fresh compared to it's contemporary's (I'd recommend In The Court of the Crimson King by King Crimson to get into prog rock in general).

Both Royal Blood Albums. Solid releases.
Really enjoyable to listen to. Good, solid, rock music. Nothing groundbreaking, nowhere near a masterpiece and both albums are incredibly similar but proof that "guitar" music isn't anywhere near being dead (maybe just going through a mid-life crisis).

Revolver and Help! - The Beatles.
I've been getting into The Beatles recently and I think both albums are absolutely amazing. Beforehand I thought the The Beatles were an average band with average albums and though I still think they're slightly overrated, the albums I've listened are quickly changing my mind.

Melodrama - Lorde.
Already been said but honestly, an top notch pop album with great lyrics and high quality production. Lorde's voice conveys a lot more emotion than her debut album and she's progressed so much as an artist. You really can't praise the album enough. Another album proving how terrific pop can be with the right artist.

sister is such a chaotic song between merlyn and joba’s intro, the sound effects like the censor (best joba verse btw i love him so much his character is amazing throughout the albums), roberto joining in, all the best changes, and kevin matt and dom’s parts just add so much it it

easily one of the greatest songs of the year

sat 3 ≥ sat 2 > sat 1 imo
also you guys know the reverse order theory right? i think the order is better as 3 -> 1 -> 2
sat 3: planning and preparing for a robbery, “aint no stopping me tonight, ima get the things i like” boogie in general being a hype song for the robbers, team is the group preparing to go in
sat 1: heat is the start of the robbery, the aggressive tone it sets matches with the scene of the robbery and idk why but the album feels like a crime scene with songs like gold and star being bragging songs after getting away
sat 2: gummy is about the getaway, and the rest of the album reflects the aftermath of the robbery once they got away

and then going back from 2 to 3 could be them planning another crime, so it’s cyclical in that theory too

thats it for my ted talk
