Hi guys! So recently in a couple of chat games I've seen people discussing their various music tastes and I thought it'd be a fun idea to have our own plug.dj. So pretty much plug.dj is an online community that allows you to play videos/listen to music in real-time. Some of you may already use plug.dj and know what it is, but for those who don't, I'll explain.

How to join plug.dj:

Step 1: Go to plug.dj - if you don't have an account already, you should see this page:

You'll see 3 options: Login with Facebook, Login with Twitter, or Login with Google. It doesn't really matter which you choose, it doesn't affect your username or anything.

Step 2: Select an avatar.

Once you choose a login, you will see this page. It's pretty self explanatory, just choose whatever avatar you like. You can change it whenever you want and may unlock more later.

Step 3: Choose a username.

This can be your EpicMafia username if you'd like. You can also change this later on if you'd like to.

Step 4: Join a community!

Just click and you’ll be directed to the plug.dj homepage. Everything gets a little tricky after this.

Step 5: How to find our community.

This is the home page of plug.dj - if you want to find our community you go to the "Search by name" option. Type in "survivorlobby" and you'll find our community!

plug.dj mechanics:

Step 1: Account creation completed.

Once you create your account and arrive to our community, you'll see a screen like this. Here you see a crowd with various avatars. Those are the people in the plug.dj. To the right is a chat. I'll go further into how to DJ after I explain the basic mechanics.

Step 2: Woot/Grab/Meh

You'll see the Woot/Grab/Meh options at our community homescreen.

Woot: when you 'woot' someone, you are signaling that you enjoy the song. Whenever you 'woot' someone, you earn a point & they earn a point. The more points you earn the more avatars you unlock. I'll address this later. Grab: When you grab a song, you can add it to a playlist you already have or create a new playlist to add it in. I'll go further into how to create playlists later on.

Meh: when you 'meh' someone, you are signaling that you dislike the song. If enough people 'meh' the DJ the song will be skipped. When you 'meh' a song, you don't gain any points and neither does the DJ. If the song gets enough 'mehs' the song will be skipped, but the DJ will still earn points for the people that do 'woot' them or 'grab' a song of theirs.

Step 3: Avatars:<br>

If you would like to change your avatar, go to the bottom right of the screen. You'll see the blue icon with the outline of a bear.

Click that. You'll see a screen full of avatars.

You can change your avatar to whatever you'd like, as many times as you want, as long as you've unlocked them. The more points you earn, the more avatars you unlock. It goes as far as 15,000 points.

How to DJ:

Step 1: Go to the bottom left corner and click the purple icon to create a playlist!

Once you click that, you'll see a screen that gives you an option to search for a song. I searched for Beyonce.

Once you find a song you like, you can add it to a playlist. Click the '+' to add it to a playlist.

You can create as many playlists as you'd like. I like to organize my playlists by the genre of music.

Here you can see my playlists. You can also see the purple checkmark. Since the purple checkmark is on my 'baby making music' playlist, that is where the playlist where the music will come from for my DJ turn. If you'd like to switch playlists, click another playlist under or above where the checkmark is, and that will become the new playlist where you DJ from.

DJ waitlist:

If you'd like to join the DJ waitlist, click the 'Join to DJ' option.

Here, you can see that I joined to DJ and my Beyonce song that I chose earlier will be the song that plays. If the song you see at the bottom is not the song you want to play, go to your playlist and drag whatever song you'd like to the top of your playlist. If the dragging doesn't work, hover over the song and click the arrow near the trashcan.

If you'd like to see your DJ placement, go to the top right corner and click the DJ waitlist.

Once you click that, you'll see your placement.
