What are some things that you personally see as red flags and make you take a step back and reconsider things before/during dating someone?

Well, I made a poor argument before with the characteristics since those are preferences but whatever.
I don't really understand why you're arguing with me or what you're not getting, but I'm not implying any of these things mean you shouldn't date them, just things that might cause alarm.
If you need a better definition I can try and be more specific I suppose
To judge someone solely on a single trait is shallow, however including every aspect of someone when judging them even if it's something that they can't control when deciding if they're someone you want date isn't shallow.
yes but when you got to "do they use tinder" i noticed most of the red flags in this thread were things that wouldn't be worth taking a step back to reconsider over on their own at all, just quirks or things that are completely nugatory without some background
Any of the things mentioned should be a temporary red flag because you should be talking to the person to find out more about them and each person has a different story as to why some things are... tl;dr talk to people that you want to date.
For instance Sincerely, I don't think you'd date someone who's:
-double your age -half your height -triple your weight
does that make you shallow?
oh, sniped... but that's not what i was talking about.
You can like someone's appearance. I'm not implying you should abandon your sexuality and humanity completely for the sake of whatever-appearance-doesn't-matter-crusade-thingy-gross-ew-blah-blah or what you thought. I mean, abandoning your humanity would be cool, but i don't think that's possible
and to answer your question, i wouldn't date someone

but i do think i'm right that it maybe isn't the most entirely open-minded and intelligent idea in the entire universe to judge people by a single trait
that's a thing that is done often and it strikes me as very childish and counterproductive in every context
