why we shouldn't use non-usernames

almost 10 years

to refer to users

im a casual schmuck who occasionally browses main lobby forums, similar to most people. i go to argue on the internet which is a hobby of mine and i see people agreeing or disagreeing with eachother or pointing to something someone else said, but referring to those people by a name nobody outside of some clique knows.

i find it difficult to immerse myself in good drama if i have to puzzle together who the f**k babydaddypapalongsocks is when no such user exists. i also speak on behalf of lurkers who definitely share my dismay.

please refer to users by their usernames

i think that referring to users by their username is the sensible and polite thing to do on a public forum

Ryuko - Connor

Bae - Kerry
hardeffingworker - Ian
