I don't even think Howl's alleged pedophilia is the point here.
Howl searched their own username on this forum "to see if they are still relevant" when they were only ever known for being an alleged pedophile.
It's like they thought to themselves: "Hey, remember when I got all of that attention from that weird website that thought I was a pedo? That was great. I wonder if they still think about me"
