Yeah, she was just showing the "masters" how entirely screwed they were. There was no need for the dothraki when most of the attacks were coming from the ships, but then again there could have been ships that docked with soldiers attacking the citizens that just wasn't shown. But i'm sure she was more than likely just "pulling it out".
the only reason i can think of is that sansa thought jon would things up because he was hard headed enough to fall into a trap by ramsay so she blindsided everyone with the reinforcements. did the knights of the vale actually make jon's army larger anyway? i don't remember the numbers but jon was way down in numbers and the addition probably only evened things up at best.
also remember dany had to wait for the dothraki to show up so they probably needed the time they spent anyway

things that irked me this episode:
- conversations between daenerys/tyrion while mereen was getting destroyed, coulda sped up a bit - sansa not telling jon about reinforcements - jon not taking sansa's advice - rickon running in a straight line - no sandor clegane
Other than that it was good, 7.2/10.

every episode with Dany has been the same since season 4
dragons flying, breathing fire and slave traders getting roughed up by Dany's soldiers and Dany saying something about how she needs to free the people

The Lannister storyline is the MOST interesting thing in the show ATM

I get the feeling had Jon known, then any plan he made to center around it would have been extremely obvious to Ramsey, so while it might not have been the most appealing way, what Sansa did was for the better
This was an episode of too good to be true rescue show ups, but hey great stuff. Wonder why Sansa didn't clue Jon in, could have helped them strategize better but hey...
yeah that means next week's episode will be an episode of "everyone's f*cked"

this is the third time people have shown up when all is lost and saved the day, its just getting annoying.
first was the tyrell's at the blackwater, then stannis at the wall. Now this.
I skimmed so yeah, didn't read much. That does make sense though. He's kind of polarizing, because he definitely only cares about himself but he also didn't seem afraid to die until it was his own hounds that killed him, and I think that was more of him being afraid of how painful it would be, as he has watched them tear apart others. still just GLAD HE IS G O N E

didn't you see the previous conversation though, he wouldn't fight jon snow because he knew he'd lose, he never anticipated the knights of vale and if he knew that was a battle he'd lose he wouldn't have gone through with it. I'm most definitely sure he's smart enough to throw in the towel when he knows he wouldn't make it alive because he's the only person he cares about. so if sansa had ever informed them of what was going to happen then there would have been a very large possibility that ramsay wouldn't have killed Rickon.
I think had Jon's army been bigger, Ramsey would have taken Jon's offer for a match to the death. Ramsey chose to opt out because he knew his army was larger and ultimately could defeat Jon's, which was the right choice until Baelish came in. Ramsey seems much too cocky to stay within castle walls, and definitely doesn't seem like he would in any way surrender himself and become a prisoner. The dude thrives on games and bloodshed. Not sure how much staying in Winterfell walls would have helped him if Jon's army had been bigger from the start, but i still think he would have gone with a one-on-one if it were.
Actually, I'm not sure Ramsay would surrender. He lost because he was too cocky and engaged in open battlefield instead of staying in the castle. He also killed a good portion of his men with his own archers. Jon had less than a half of Ramsay's army, so in order to defeat a fortified Ramsay, knights of Vale had to have an army at least the size of Jon's, but probably even larger.

nah, ramsay would've surrendered had he known he was essentially f*cked in battle, he'd have cared about making out alive more than pissing jon snow off
The battle would've been WAY different had they known about Baelish... but I don't think they'd be able to save Rickon no matter what. Ramsay didn't give a sh*t about his life and only used him to enrage Jon.

also do you think sansa would've been able to save Rickon had Jon known about Peter Baelish???

ehh i also felt like having baelish help them sort of like took away from getting actual revenge on ramsay since baelish himself is a piece of sh*t
